2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400 - Should I keep my bike after deemed total loss?
Hit a black metal object in the middle of the highway at night going 65, it messed my wheels up pretty good (sent me a little airborne, both tires immediately flat and into death wobble but I was able to recover it and pull over without dropping the bike). I feel very fortunate to walk away unharmed.
Insurance is offering a $900 lower payout if I want to keep the bike. 2020 Ninja 400 ABS with 10k miles. They totaled it but honestly doesn’t seem like that much damage. Is it worth keeping and trying to fix, or will there likely be lots more problems not seen in visual inspection? Is it worth keeping to part out and try to make more than $900? Thanks in advance for any advice!
Only issues prior were some small scratches on each side fairings from previous owner dropping it at slow speed/stop.
