I took my Great Pyrenees to urgent care last month and we couldn’t figure out the overall cause after blood tests. Opted to do an antibiotic and steroid treatment. Back to normal in three days. I’m following the tapering instructions (after two weeks of full dose) and now on day six of the once a day he’s slowing down a bit and declined the kibble but did eat his bland portion.

What might the full dose have addressed that the half dose doesn’t quite cover?
