Support process optimization
I’m fairly new to tech (~2 years) after a financially motivated career change. I’ve been working in client facing support at a very large company and while I’m grateful for the stability and WFH, it’s not sustainable for me long term.
What I do enjoy is process optimization and operational improvement. Working inside broken/inefficient systems genuinely makes me nuts. I constantly find myself thinking about better ways and obsess about it during my off hours. I’m interested in improving the machine rather than just operating within it.
I’ve been applying to support operations roles, but I’m curious:
- Are there other job titles I should be searching for?
- And realistically, is this kind of systems/process-oriented thinking actually valuable, or does everyone think this way?
