First time visit

was definitely a culture shock. Houston is huge, and the amount of time it can take to get between places is crazy. I definitely felt the humidity, for sure, but it wasn’t something I wasn’t expecting since I grew up in the South. People are definitely a lot slower in how they carry themselves, whereas I feel like I am always rushing. I’ve met some nice people, but also a good number of people who were very rude, lmao. Everything also felt very cliquey; certain areas definitely make you stick out more, and that’s just how I felt. I would definitely love to come back for sure.

Visiting from Virginia and looking for great soul food, hole-in-the-wall spots, tacos, or burgers.

I will be in Houston tomorrow and really want to check out some good food spots. Please let me know!
