[Online] [5e 2014]] [GMT+9 (Asia, Oceania)] [Weekly/Biweekly] [Late Afternoons][Sword Coast Homebrew] Green Acorn Rot - Weeds grow, crops wither, and the dead walk shamble down cobbled streets.

Green Acorn Hollow (or just “Acorn”) was originally a druidic grove that grew into a farming settlement. Acorn was so named for a large hollow tree at the center of the grove, used by squirrels to store acorns for the winter. The village was peacefully absorbed into the regional Gransten fiefdom some 600 years ago, the occupants choosing the security of vassalage in the face of orcish raiding.

The Gransten line has ruled over Acorn and its surrounding fiefs for centuries, uninterrupted. Their stewardship has largely been fair - the village has prospered and seen little combat in that time. It now homes close to one hundred countryfolk living both within the walls and on the surrounding farms. The population is 90% human, with a small contingent of wood elves and earth genasi.

Acorn is governed by an elected mayor who answers to the Granstens. The current mayor is Vera Greenwater, whose blood traces back to the first druids. She is ambitious, and is steering the town towards new forms of agriculture, using druidic magic to accelerate growth. Her success has caused some enmity to emerge from conservative farmers, threatened by obsolescence. The current fief lord cares little for the clash of old ideas against new - all that matters is the punctual delivery of tithes, and diligent upkeep of the town and its walls. Acorn is a common transit hub for far-travellers - and thus, appearances must be upkept, to avoid embarrassment.

Green Acorn Hollow is safe, idyllic and slow-to-change. Life flows by with the pace of a lazy river, the air buzzing with dragonflies and bees. There are foes in the woods - wolves, bears and goblins - but the town walls and patrolling wood elf rangers keep these minor threats far at bay. It is here, at the New Sprout Tavern, that you find yourself - perhaps a traveler, or a resident, slaking your thirst at a wood-slab table while drunkards sing and braggarts boast. All is well, and perfect.

Or so it seems - for the dead have lifted from their graves and began to walk the night, the cavities of their skulls rattling with rotten acorns. Centuries of peace are poised to end as a new evil emerges - a threat that you, half-drunk on honey mead, don't even know exists.

I am Sven, a longtime DM. Green Hollow Rot is a DnD 5e Homebrew campaign, seeking 3-5 beta players! I will be running weekly/biweekly sessions, 3-4 hours apiece, depending on availability. The time is slightly negotiable, but ideally sessions will happen on Saturday/Sunday night, starting in the afternoon and going into the evening. I am in a GMT+9 timezone, so players from SEA, Oceania and mainland Asia are preferred. Players from other regions will be considered, but only if they are able to match the schedule.

Please complete the attached form if you are interested in joining the campaign! I hope to hear from you soon.
