Absolutely vile! Section 39A

Planning to relocate to Goa from NCR for slower life while growing my own food, started researching properly last month and while looking for place that matched what I wanted, I came across Section 39A passed in 2024.

Honestly, it feels deeply disturbing. Turning no development zones into settlement zones is a terrible idea.

I have seen what reckless development has done to places like Dehradun. Overconstruction has ruined the character of the city, put pressure on resources, and destroyed natural spaces. The same pattern is now spreading to other places in the north, and it's worrying to see signs of it in Goa too.

As someone who genuinely wanted to make Goa home, I fully understand why locals are pushing back. Goa's land, environment, and culture should not be sacrificed for short term real estate interests.

I sincerely hope locals and long-term residents continue fighting this law and are able to get it reversed.

Goa deserves far better than this. Goa and our coastal areas needs to be preserved.

Absolutely vile!! 39A

I am from NCR and planning to move to Goa for a slower life. I have planned to start learning Konkani, find a house with enough land to grow my own food, and just live quietly.

I only started researching properly last month and while looking for plots and homes that matched what I wanted, I came across Section 39A passed in 2024.

Honestly, it feels deeply disturbing. Turning no development zones into settlement zones is a terrible idea. I have seen what reckless development has done to places like Dehradun. Baba Nagpal in Lajpat doing Tax evasion

Salaried folks struggle to pay monthly EMI and rent, along with paying a fixed tax on their income while these local shops evade taxes rampantly.

One such example is Baba Nagpal Chole Bhature Wala in Lajpat Nagar. He sells hundreds of plates every day and accepts only cash payment.

They straight away deny UPI and even turn customers away.

He must have hoarded crores in cash, all of it black money.

Don't you think this is unfair for salaried folks to study and work hard, truthfully paying our fair share of taxes while such things get ignored?
