How to make make bends sound better?
Hi everyone, I've been working my way through a Blues coursebook and have learned a lot so far. Now, I'm wondering how I can make my full bends sound better. When I've got my amp and guitar both at full volume, I can always hear my fingers slightly touching the string above bent string.
For example in the exercise below -- the first full bend at the 7th fret on the third string -- I feel like I can hear the fourth string slightly when bring the bend down to do the hammer on to the 5th fret.
Does anyone have any tips on how to improve this? Do I need to wrap my thumb around the top half of the fretboard? is there a better way to position my fingers? thanks for any insight.
