Buying a toolskin: temporary issue, or working as intended?
Hello, I'm pretty new to Palia.
I recently tried to purchase the Matchmaker Bow through the in-game Wardrobe, and I ran into an error (picture #3). I waited a few hours, then tried again, only to get the same error.
I've checked Google and only found older sources on this (posts on Reddit, mainly), and players say that we aren't allowed to purchase individual toolskins -- that we need to buy the entire bundle if we want just one skin from a package. This also affects individual bits of clothing: to buy a top you really like, you need to buy the entire outfit the top comes from.
If this older information is true, then it's strange that there's a pathway for purchasing individual cosmetics from within the wardrobe. Keeping in mind that a major expansion just released:
A) is the older information outdated and we can normally purchase individual cosmetics, but there's a temporary problem with the Premium Store? or
B) the Premium Store is working as intended, except for the misleading error message ("Please try again later")?
Has anyone else had any success with purchasing individual cosmetics from the in-game Wardrobe?
Steps I took:
- Use a wardrobe (I tried the one on my home plot as well as the one at Bahari Bay Central Stables)
- Select a toolskin
- Attempt to purchase
