First service question

I need to get an oil change for the first time since buying this car (2008 with 90k miles) and I’m curious what would make the most sense. I had a pre purchase inspection before buying but would like to take this as an opportunity to get eyes on it again and maybe do some type of inspection while getting its first oil change to just give me a little more confidence.

Should I take it to a Mazda dealership ?

A local Miata expert?

A local mechanic

An oil change spot? (Probably not lol)

What do you think would be ideal

I know this is a small fry question and not a lot on the line, but given that all of these options exist around me, I’m sure there are cost x expertise considerations to be made here, Idno, probably overthinking it lol

Post your engine bay

Curious if folks could post pics of their engine bays with a list of the mods they have. Just trying to get some inspiration. I don’t necessarily NEED to mod mine, but just curious what folks have done. Thanks.

Buzzing sound after CarPlay install

Had a professional audio shop do a CarPlay install yesterday and they used a quality head unit (alpine something) but I noticed later that night that it seems to be buzzing when playing music, but even if it’s not playing anything, there is like a slight buzz coming over the speakers that I can’t make go away. Any idea what this could be? I’ll call the shop later and discuss but just wanted some informed opinions or guesses first. Thanks!

I just adjusted my PRHT lift mechanism to solve a judder and saved $600+

If your PRHT is noisy, juddery, or rattles the deck lid while operating you can fix this yourself (I was quoted atleast $600 to have the mechanism professionally serviced). There is not a ton of information online about this, but this goes beyond greasing the gears and requires removing the deck lid, removing the lifter mechanism, unscrewing the motor and tightening one bolt. If anyone else is experiencing this and wants resources on how to tackle the job I am happy to share.
