Why Does Canada Celebrate July 4th on July 1st? Is It the Metric System?
I know the metric system is why they have Kanadian Miles, which are only worth about 60 cents--kind of like the Canadian Dollar. I think that's why Canadian Thanksgiving is in October--because it's month 10.
Degrees Canadian are harder to understand, and they're a lot harder to convert to the Freedom degrees we use here, but I'm told that's all metric too.
But I don't see how the 4th falls on the 1st--unless it's because 1 is metric too!
