First time adding some cork sheets to the bases to make my own tactical rocks/elevation. Here's hoping it goes well 😁 might base coat them each slightly differently to add some extra variation 🤔i.e. one with citadel, one with Vallejo and one with army painter
So I had a weird little idea about using different brands equivalent paints for different models within the same unit to add slight variation and maybe add to the visual storytelling of the individuals in the unit. For instance I'm about to start on a unit of head takers and would paint each model as follows.
1: Citadel Russ grey base, with fenrisian grey and blue horror highlights and a space wolves grey+ contrast medium shade.
2: Army painter wolf grey base, with runic cobalt and augur blue highlights and a speedpaint runic grey/medium shade.
3: Vallejo steel grey .102 base, with wolf grey .047 and glacier blue .095 highlights an Xpress paints space grey+ Xpress medium shade.
Would this look cool or just be a ball ache of an experiment?
Really love how the frozen lake shore came out 😁
Really pleased with how this one is taking shape, first time using primarily opaques and a mix of GW and vellejo paints 😁 still a lot left to do.
