My adhd has been thriving since falling in love with fragrances, but recognizing the fixation and novelty-seeking patterns I’ve been able to restrict myself to mostly samples, minis and travellers. Bonus: Fragrance money used to be Starbies money, and I’m now down 10lbs. Anyway, I started in January, but here are my empties and dents since start of March.
**Empties**
JPG Divine Le Parfum - Love it. Since upgraded to a 50ml that also came with a traveller
Givenchy Irresistible EDP - I like it and would wear again, but I wouldn’t buy for myself unless it was on steep discount.
Rabanne Fame in Love - Enjoyed enough to purchase a 50ml. It’s probably not a repurchase, but it’ll last me a long while.
D&G Devotion EDP - The only candy fragrance I’ve liked enough to come back to. Purchased the 20ml for when I’m wanting something playful
D&G L’Imperatrice - A knee-jerk purchase fuelled by nostalgia. I mostly smell grapefruit in it, which was my signature scent from late teens to mid twenties. The mini came with a traveller as well. Not sure if I will repurchase later.
Phlur Cherry Stem - This one is actually my husband’s. He is less religious about wearing, but it smells fantastic on him and it’s his first/only empty so far. Upgraded to traveller for now, but will go fullsize around Christmas.
**Dents**
EB Queens Caramel - This was my first perfume purchased. I’ve since outgrown very dessert-y gourmands, but I still enjoy it from time to time, especially on my pillow at night.
D&G Light Blue EDT - I bought the 50ml about two weeks after a 10ml (rehomed to a loved one who wanted to try it) back in January. My absolute favourite and planning to upgrade to 100ml when this one is done.
V&R Flowerbomb Ruby Orchid - My second favourite, I’ve been using it more slowly because it’s getting harder to find. Just ordered a 100ml today at a fantastic discount this morning, and will put it away until the traveller is done.
JPG La Belle - Glad I started with a sample because it just isn’t doing it for me (pretty sure it’s the pear). Going to try to finish this month because my husband enjoys it, but won’t be upgrading.
MM Replica When the Rain Stops - This one should technically not work for me. Not great on paper, but on my skin it smells like my dad when he would work in the garden. Pacing myself with the sample until I can purchase a full size bottle.
Valentino DBIR Purple Melancholia - I have a weird relationship with this one. I really like it, but I can’t decide if I want to upgrade it. I will probably end up getting another sample.
Moving deeper into spring and summer, I plan to use up the warmer-weather samples from my Replica discovery set, and try to put a dent into my L’Originale mini.
