GIANT shishito pepper!
These came off the same plant and I just had to share. I’m blown away. The big one feels super thick-walled and has lost its wrinkles!! Super weird but I’m thrilled

What am I growing??!
So I purchased some cucamelon seeds (supposedly) and now that they’re finally coming on, this is what’s growing. Compared to young cucamelons I’ve seen pictures of, this.. doesn’t seem right lol. Has anyone ever seen something like this or know what I’m growing??

Quail dispatch question
Hello!
I’m just getting into processing my extra roosters that have been a little too rough with my hens. Of course I want the method that’s the least painful for them, so I went with cervical dislocation via a hopper popper type tool (quail pop). I have a couple questions. First, has anyone else had issues of it not working the first time? I think maybe I’m not pulling quite hard or far enough, and that may be why. But I would love input. Other than that, I’ve had ones that have not bled at ALL after I’ve tried to bleed them because it can stop their heart instantly. No heart pumping=no pressure for blood to come out. I’ve heard brining for a few hours will draw out the blood, and just wanted to see if anyone can verify? I don’t want to do a large cull only to find the meat very gamey or iron-y. Thanks so much!!

Weird issues with baby quail
Hi! I had quite a big hatch with very good numbers however, I have one quail with some kind of issue going on. I’ve attached a video, but it consistently has its neck stuck out when standing, like a very upright position. It seems like it’s constantly adjusting its crop or yawning rapidly. More concerningly, it seems very off balance and seems to stumble backwards quite often when it’s not laying down and just walking around the brooder. It’s still at least attempting to eat, drink, and scratch in the shavings. I’m wondering if it could be stargazing? Something is clearly happening neurologically, and I’m wondering how concerned I should be. Thanks!

Healthy unabsorbed yolk sac?
This is a little gross, hence why I marked it NSFW. But I’ve attached a picture of my first chick born with an unabsorbed yolk. I will say, it’s extremely lively, active, it doesn’t smell weird, it’s completely normal minus this thing. The color is just throwing me. I’m hoping it’s a weird color because it’s drying up and going to fall off soon. I believe it hatched 8-12 hours ago. Any thoughts? Hopefully someone else has seen this and it looks ok?
