Sakamoto vs Prime Sakamoto

Sakamoto vs Prime Sakamoto

Yeah I'm still a firm believer in that this should've been close because Sakamotos fighting his prime and overcoming him with present day strength compared to the past, but the gap here is way too huge, it should've been close or relavtive at most literally just a stomp

How the narrative portrayed Sakazuki as the greatest assassin ever in his prime, narrator statements, feats via Uzuki from the fake, there's genuinely no way believe that the gap should be this big, it just trivilizes how Prime Sakamoto was being glazed in multiple prior chapters to being quite literally unparalleled and now he's getting gapped by Sakamotos amp with zero to.little difficulty

And some might say well he's injured, but so is Sakamoto, even with being stitched up, he's still bleeding and injured, not to mention his prior wounds before that even happened on top of it all, not to mention also use paths to attack more effectively, it's bleak

Gaku

This is still such a shoe horn/forced moment for the sake of it, Gaku randomly throwing his weapon at Nagumo just because...?

Gaku is very clearly smart when it comes to fights and battles, going relative with Nagumo and reacting to his multiple weapon changes mid fight consecutively

Keep in mind Gaku literally has a range feature on his mace in the form of a laser, which he has used multiple times, so if it was actually in character, he would've used that instead

https://imgur.com/a/8sc1IcO

Another reason why is because of Nagumo, to make him get off a cool moment something like this had to happen because even with the disguise if Gaku still has his mace on his person they'd know which is the fake

It's this forced incompetence from Gaku that is just bleak

This moment

This moment wouldn't be as iffy to me in a vacuum but compared this moment to his talk with Rion, about his experiences of tasting the ordinary life and how he can cultivate that into strength after him wavering on the topic, that just hits way harder with an amp

I don't like this moment with Aoi giving him a amp with what she said and it completely outclassing his talk with Rion that gave him an amp, Rions just holds more thematic relevancy, leaning into Sakamotos ideology as a whole, and his self realization

I do acknowledge the fact that Akao spoke to Sakamoto, that the more people he has to protect ( obvi with his next kid ) the stronger he will get, but that seemed to be something linear than a huge boost that seemed to expand a big gap between him and Uzuki

Aoi's moment being that quick and the gap between Sakamoto and Uzuki in power growing instantly is interesting... compared to Rion and their talk, we'll have to see if Sakazuki was just caught off guard from the amp or if he's gonna get the Torres treatment

Media literacy

Some of you are comparing a feat of Kippei coming out of nowhere to block an attack from Shin, then proceeding to kick him, which Sakazuki blocks, and then he downward kicks him, which does no damage to be above Gaku?

https://imgur.com/a/ZglEfyf

When Gaku scales to someone stronger than pre amp nagumo, Gaku from the past, shishiba, AND Osaragi, so it'd be easier for him to pull off something like that and MORE

Gaku off waking up has already established relativity against current fat Sakamoto, being able to react to an attack from his blind spot and still respond in quick succession and not even move from Sakamotos kick while Sakamoto flew from his punch, along with Gaku getting drop kicked in his chest from a flying Sakamoto which did zero damage to him and Gakus punches eventually opening his wounds further

https://imgur.com/a/Gqlp2bZ

I'm not gonna go through this whole "he was injured" nonsense considering you can still gain feats from people like Takamura, current fat Sakamoto, and Sakazuki, who are all injured, being injured isn't a all be all situation, and it certainly isn't when we can characters getting feats off of Sakazuki who's injured in various different areas

I can also hear some people say well his persons compensated for his injuries, while I tend to agree his injuries can be widely ignored where the persona can still keep fighting, it's apparent that he's still wounded even so, through his gut and Sakazuki cauterize his wound, it's clear that he can ignore it but some things need to he tended to, and then we have the eventual loss of an eye and Akira kicking him in the back of the neck spurting blood, and along with that we have Sakazuki who's been fighting nonstop order members and superhuman characters for back to back chapters with little to no rest

https://imgur.com/a/CtVeNmO

So with all that considered, Gaku could absolutely do the same shit with more ease mind, I do believe what kippei did is pretty impressive but the way yall act is as if he's doing a 1v1 when 2 of his blocks are essentially coming out of nowhere to block an attack for Shin and getting his kick blocked, and outmaneuvering his blocked kicked to Sakazukis shoulder which does no damage other than slamming him to the ground

With Gaku’s feats against current fat Sakamoto there’s no reason he couldn’t do what Kippei did against Sakazuki, especially when characters below that level (Osaragi, Shishiba, Yotsumura) can take one hit from Sakazuki

Gaku > Kippei, Gaku has his consistent scaling with high tiers regarding Fat Sakamoto ( current ) where he showcases relavtivety, Gaku can replicate something like that and MORE, and I think you guys genuinely wanna try your hardest to put Gaku down, but when you actually deep it it's not as CRAZY as some of you are trying to make it seem

Akira > Rion

Idk why I'm seeing people keep saying Rion is stronger, before Akira even got into the jcc she already had talent to kill and Rion even states that she's already better than her with her hands, keep in mind this is 10 years ago and Rion had already admitted that

https://imgur.com/a/2zonXAv

Then we go to her fight with Satoda, Akira starts gaining the ropes of using her kp to fight. Satoda makes her reminiscence on how it feels like she's almost fighting Rion, so Akira is already close to Rion in that fact even by the JCC arc

https://imgur.com/a/Y4gmQj7

Then we get to the most damning evidence, Akira being able to fight Takazuki, someone who should definitely clear Rion in terms of speed, raw strength, durability, etc, even though kp is a counter to Takazuki in a way, it tells you how many paths Akira has to chose correctly in a split second or she will get gravely injured, so this already gives her the edge over what Rion was able to showcase during her time

https://imgur.com/a/jTsLNBB

Keep in mind that Akira didn't have the privilege of being taught by assassins for long like Rion, who was there for years being taught by Satoda, yet Rion still thinks Akira has the edge over her in hands regardless, then the better dexterity when it comes Takazuki and implied better Kp because obviously akira wouldn't know h2h without kp I think it's clear Akira is over

Lol???

Why does everybody keep using this panel of Nagumo? This is a disguise he used on someone, and even with the wound stab to his stomach, there's no way some of you genuinely think he's gonna die lmao

And did we just forget Sakamoto? He literally got his bowels cut open and was bleeding out for multiple chapters on end and was still alive, Nagumo IA gonna live

The Order Vs Sakazuki

I can't be the only one that finds this order fight to he lack luster, I was expecting WAY more from them, basically a rotation style, yes some would he knocked out for a chapter in my mind, so it comes to my surprise when Kindaka who didn't even go max speed got completely slumped, and Yotsumura didn't get up again after getting kicked down

To me, they were down, but hey would come because they didn't do much? And the damage they took seemed heavy but something they could come back from, but they just didn't...?

Osaragi also just disappears too when Sakamoto hits the up and down roller coaster and is nowhere to be seen anymore 😭

It's really just how these characters are just showing little to no actual combat, and they get one shot, and that's the end of it that's throwing me off

Another thing that annoys me regarding this fight is Nagumo, Nagumo just feels invincible in this fight. Keep in mind that before they all show up, Nagumo is in a way WORSE condition yet he can somehow get hit multiple times and keep going while these other characters get one shot, honestly it's genuinely a miracle how he's somehow still fighting even after all of that beating he took, look at this link and see how many hits he took directly compared to others that are done in one blow

https://imgur.com/a/Y4a6n0a

It would be better if Nagumo rested while they fought, and then he could tag in, him getting hit directly multiple times while characters like Kindaka can get completely one shot by a throw or Yotsumura just gets done in by a downward slam is crazy when Nagumo has been launched at a space shutter at explosive speed and ran over by a big ass structure directly and its nothing to.him apparently? It feels like it feels force because Suzuki clearly wants that interaction with Uzuki, but making Nagumo nigh invincible when it comes to getting attacked compared to others, just isn't it, bro

But that's just my thoughts

The truth

I just hope we get to see people find out that Rion and Uzuki were set up by asaki, and got her killed, Uzuki is just as much a victim as Rion from then, and people still thinking Uzuki just murdered her and nothing else happened is wild, in verse people need to know about the truth

Hopefully, Akira says something because she's the only one who truly knows what happened outside of uzuki, who won't say anything, I feel as though something like this should've come sooner, Nagumo agonizing on the truth, that was the setup between the both, Nagumo still going after Uzuki for "revenge" we know Nagumo isn't killing for noble reasons and Shishiba called him out on that when Nagumo met at the abandoned building, this would still go hand and hand with his desire to exact revenge regardless

It's likely that he'll hear the truth and still follow through with uzukis' death, precisely to what I mean

We're 200+ chapters in and near the end of the manga and some of the crucial players to Rion, being Nagumo and Sakamoto are still out of the loop in all of this even still, and I find that insane when they've been chasing this mystery for a while, and us as readers have been seeing this for years without them actually finding out

u/Gremmyyyyyy — 1 month ago

Did Nagumo just completely forget what Rion said here??? 😭

I feel like he'd take the hint that someone else could've played a part in Rions death, considering he's a spy and collects Intel, the clues are LITERALLY right there, how haven't you noticed it yet? 😭

Yes this is probably another Suzuki forgot moment 💔💔💔

This explanation

I can't be the only person who thinks this entire explanation is insanely shallow

Atari says a plan is effective when you're compensating for a weakness, while that can be true in formulating a plan, it doesnt mean you're always compensating for some type of weakness it's literally just a way of strategic play, Atari making it seem like that's the biggest factor is hilarious to me

Also, Shishiba can only use his left arm, and kamihate has a weakness of close quarters combat, and everyone except for Kindaka is injured, she's literally contradicting herself in her own argument as to why they shouldn't???

Then she goes on to say that their weapons, personalities, and fighting styles are different, this is the whole reason why there should have been a plan 😭

If they have a plan, they can compensate for each fighting style, close range fighters, long range fighters, and speedsters like Kindaka, I think it's very telling that there should have been a plan when we have Kamihate being so close to the enemy when he can shoot from 8km away, but is fighting that close where he can get attacked from Sakamoto because he's in a nearby building, their personalities and weapons wouldn't be a issue here, and we see that when Shishiba and Kamihate try to formulate a plan of their own but Sakazuki dodges by the skin of his teeth, that being their closest shot of actually killing him or dealing heavy damage other than Nagumo

You'd want to use energy on trying to stick to a plan rather than whatever the hell this performance was because it sure didn't convince me that their play with no plan was the better option at all 😭

Gaku as a character

I don't understand how you can bring such a popular character like Gaku back, after a year+ of his absence, and do nothing interesting with him whatsoever, no development as a character, his goal of "always wanting to fight Uzuki and Sakamoto" which I find completely contradictive regarding what he's been, yes he's been a figther who likes to fight strong opponents but Gaku has never once abandoned post just to fight an enemy just because they're strong, so I find it extremely weird how he can just so casually try to attack Uzuki just because he had the Takazuki persona, reading that page you'd think Uzuki and Gaku are mortals enemies, which they shouldn't be

But along with Gakus comeback he gets completely humiliated, Gaku isn't even able to contend with Nagumo anymore, even while he should be fresh and energized, while Nagumo fought Oki which almost killed him and is back, still injured, his fight with Nagumo lasting literally one chapter, and along with that Gaku hasn't been seen getting up or in any little character boxes for 5, likely going on 6 weeks because that's all Gaku seemed to be there for, just to become a hype moment for another, and I find it extremely disrespectful to treat a character like this who people are fans of, basically making him a one dimensional character, and only using him to boost another character, it just adds nothing new to past things that have already occurred, and to have his fans wait a year+ for that, is honestly insane

This all feels so lackluster

This whole fight against Sakazuki was interesting to point it midly, I don't think the group fight was done well. These characters were barely fighting simultaneously as a group, there's moments where characters should be right by each other to attack, and they just aren't there? Namely, when Kindaka gets faced palmed and thrown, where are the other characters on the next page? No one but Yotsumura, when we had shishiba, nagumo, Osaragi, and Kamihate there, no one but him steps into intervene even though they're right by each other

We also have Kindaka just not using max speed in the fight like at all, something in his kit being completely forgotten or Kamihatss entire shtrick being able to ricochet bullets and he doesnt do it a single time in this fight? There are characters' kits being completely forgotten right in our eyes

Then we have Nagumo, being basically the only fighter capable of doing anything, which I fight boring, along with Nagumo just being able to take multiple blows, while others have been one shot, Nagumo who's already fought a long battle with oki that almost killed him, along with him getting thrashed by Sakazuki solo until the order showed up, I know akira helped him last chapter and this to an extent but this guy being essentially a one man army to keep Uzuki down is insane

Then we have this chapter where, from what I can see that Uzuki is having a self reflection upon seeing Akira and nagumo along with Akira are speaking to Uzuki still, and this is making Uzuki think back to his friends and past experiences and everything that has brought him here, and at the last page we have a chair that falls indicating that no one is controlling him anymore atleast to me, comparable to how Takazuki persona got killed and fell off the chair, something like this is similar

This just doesn't hit for me whatsoever. It already felt like it was dragging on, as well as Uzuki in of himself being an EXTREMELY shitty villain, he just feels like a character that's being moved along by the plot instead of it being because of him if you understand what I mean, and how abrupt this ending was to getting talk no Jutsu from what I can see, it just doesn't hit for me because Uzuki hasn't been compelling for a while to me and in fact only got worse as one, and now his defeat is "reflection" idk if Suzuki might pull some rebound where Uzuki grabs another persona but if this is the end of Uzuki, wow was it extremely stale

The consequences between the order and Al-kamar are disproportionate

It's crazy to me how the Order barely get any consequences from the stuff they've done while working under the jaa

We know from Uzuki that the government used the jaa to silence people for criticizing them Or secrets about them, so they were murdered be this politicians or common people that just knew secrets, and we see this even while in Sakamotos flashback, and likely along with Asaki

The order are basically used to silence and kill people the chairman once at a whim, we saw Takamura immediately show up to kill Sakamoto, nagumo, and uzuki on a whim from Asaki, this coupled with the fact they have a rule of not asking questions and getting the job done, they've likely killed loads of innocent people, but face zero permanent karmic justice for it which is strange

Al-kamar we can agree are bad people and continue to be but both are bad people even if some try to be better in the long run, those innocent lives you've taken are still gone, and cant come back, so it's kinda crazy to me how none of them other than hyo and Takamura really get consequences compared to Al-kamar where their entire side is either dead or gone, knocked out, majority of the order have close to no permanent injuries, and if they do like shishibas fingers they can get replaced with zero problem, it's just insanely shallow to me how they get likely better lives after this is all said and done after their implied fucked up deeds compared to the former

Naguml

Nagumo just proves time and time again how he's the 3rd strongest order member in its history
