Is Sora's name also a "pun"

We all know about Rien's name meaning "nothing" in french.

But I was wondering if this same "joke" wasn't also made with his apprentice Sora.

In Japanese 空, pronounced "sora" (for sky) , can also be pronounced "kara" with the definition being "emptiness" or "being empty".

I was curious as to what the rest of the community thought about this.

I'm actually hoping, in this instance, someone comes in here and says "lmao you're stupid and don't know you can just do x to do what you're describing". Its always bugged me that you have to close out and keep going back in just hoping to finally stumble on the one specific thing ur looking for. Now, I know this is sort of just a "gacha game thing" (and its probably annoying on purpose to subtly make you just want to have your own copy of the ID to readily select instead of having to search for it elsewhere) but idk, Canto 7 told me that I can dream so let me dream.

Edit: I have been informed by a wonderful commenter that another popular gacha game does exactly what I’m describing, and now I feel more justified than ever in requesting this. Kim I know you’re lurking, I will donate one limbillion if you just throw me this small bone.
