Hive of Scum and Villainy

Hive of Scum and Villainy

The Hellfire Club. New..old..it didn't matter. Nate Grey considered it one of the symptoms of the plague threatening mutantkind. A menagerie of psychos and sociopaths. Using their mutant gifts to consolidate power for their own plans and benefits.

But still..he must make an effort to visit. To know his rivals.

So he finds himself standing in the epicenter of the club. No drink in hand. Not dancing. Simply observing. The mutants here were so misguided. They could do so much more.

If only the White Queen hadn't lead them astray...

The other Queens to for that matter.

He could bring this building to the ground with a wave. But now was not the time. He had formed his team, and tomorrow he would bring them to Genosha.

For now he was here as an observer. Observing with barely disguised disdain.

Moscow Mule

Nate Grey hovered over the mountains before slowly coming to land on their edge. Russia. It wasn't a country he intended to stay in long. He wasn't trying to cause international incidents yet.

That would come later when he was ready. But this was where she would be..and his new team needed her abilities, as well as her passion.

He main his way to the mountains peak where he spotted the young mutant woman relaxing. He spoke softly to not startle her.

Darkstar...my name is Nate Grey, and much like you, I wish to help our people.

Dust in the Wind

Nate Grey doesn't take long to find his target. The alarms ringing from the bank would lead him right there even if his telepathy couldn't already detect the mutant he was looking for.

He touched down outside the bank, freezing the police outside and cowering civilians with a wave of his hand.

He stepped inside the bank dodging a desk that a massive gust of wind flung towards him.

Relax...I am not some hero here to stop you and cage you again. I am a mutant, much like you. One who understands the struggles you faced.

Whirlwind...hear me out, if you do not like my words I will leave you to your choices.

Old Aquaintances

Nate Grey found himself walking through the halls of a rundown apartment building. The apartment complex was the kinda place that a building inspector would have a heart attack upon entering. That is if the bribes didn't keep them away.

Landlords. Another name for scum. Especially the kind that preyed on the fact that mutants had nowhere else to go.

Nate knocked on the door of one of the apartments.

Calvin...I know you're in there!

Grey & Summers

Nate Grey can't be bothered with Fourth of July Celebrations. American Independence? He's fighting for the independence of all mutants.

Which is why he finds himself approaching someone he has a particularly strange connection to. Rachel Summers. Luckily he catches her before she leaves the mansion again.

Convincing her to side with his agenda may take work, but he is certain that this is something he can manage. It's gone well so far with the others at least.

Rachel..we need to talk.

No Save Point

*Tokyo. Much like New York, this city seemed to stay bustling all night as well. As Nate Grey soared over the crowded streets below, he wondered how many mutant might be in the city, forced to hide their true selves, while the man he'd come to meet flaunts his powers. Protected by the government as an asset, Shiro Yoshida was able to avoid rhe persecution other mutants often faced.*

*Despite this, Sunfire had made a habit of helping mutant kind and event the X-Men on occasion. Nate Grey dived down and then rocketed upwards towards the penthouse floor of the Yoshida Corp tower.*

*He hovers at the top and knocks on the large glass window.*

A Visit to Genosha

Nate Grey looked at the mutant island nation below as he descended from the sky. The place had seen better days certainly...but there seemed to be an attempt to get back on track.

As he descended lower...anyone looking up would start to be able to spot him. He held his arms apart in a show of peace as he lowered himself near ground level.

His eye glowed with power as he scanned the area. If he wasn't mistaken about the mans current state....Erik would soon arrive to greet him. There was little chance the master of magnetism wasn't aware of every single thing that happened in Genosha.

While he waited for Magneto's arrival, he waved his hand at a nearby building that was under repair and quickly it formed back together, rebuild in mere seconds. Forged with telekinetic power.

Shades of Grey

They call me a lot of things. Depending on who you ask. I'm either the greatest threat this world has ever seen...or a savior of mutankind. A harbinger of our people's demise...or the only one who can prevent our destruction.

Two points of view. Both valid in their own ways. But the truth is more complex. It always is.

There's a very strong chance I'm the most powerful mutant walking the face of the planet right now. But this isn't even my original Earth. I'm from...somewhere else. It's complicated. But for mutants, particularly ones with the last names Summers or Grey...when isn't it complicated.

I'm Nathaniel Grey...and I'm here to save you all.
