2018 BMW 330i Boost Pressure Sensor Connector Secondary Lock Stuck Halfway

2018 BMW 330i Boost Pressure Sensor Connector Secondary Lock Stuck Halfway

The secondary lock clip (white) came out of my boost pressure sensor connector. I can slide it back in but it's stuck halfway and won't keep going (red lines). Anyone know if its possible to reinsert it, and if so, how? I've tried both when its plugged in and unplugged.

I know this connector isn't required, just for peace of mind. I can always use a zip tie.

F30 B48 Oil Filter Housing Bottom Right Bolt Stuck - Advice?

Working on a B48 oil filter housing replacement and I’m completely stuck on the bottom right bolt.

I’ve been trying to get a socket to properly engage it for hours with no success. I started with an E10 Torx, but it never fully seated no matter what angle I tried. It always felt like it was just off enough that it wouldn’t lock in.

I then tried an 8mm socket, which actually did seat onto the bolt head, but it slipped when I tried to break it loose so I stopped that.

I’ve also tried using a socket wrench from above and from below, and I’ve used a flex joint and wobble sockets with extensions to try different angles. I even loosened the transmission cooler to try and improve access, as you can see in the video, but I still can’t get a clean, fully seated engagement on the bolt.

Has anyone dealt with this exact bottom right bolt on the B48 oil filter housing? Any advice on the correct angle or tool setup would really help.

Video attached showing access and what I've been dealing with.

B46 Oil Pan Fractured by Dealership? Aluminum shards found during service.

I’m in the middle of some maintenance on my 2018 330i and ran into an issue. When I drained the oil, some shards of aluminum came out with the flow. I tried to hand-thread the plug back in, and while it starts to catch, it jams almost immediately. The threads are completely toasted.

I took some photos of the drain port, and it looks like a fracture break on the threads. I know these pans have a factory drainage notch, but the edges on mine are jagged and look like a break. The BMW service department did the last oil change a few thousand miles ago and didn't mention any issues, so I believe they over-torqued the steel plug into the aluminum pan and sent it.

I was preparing to do a Time-Sert repair myself, but I’m looking for advice on whether this is even safe to repair. Just don't know if a steel Time-Sert will provide enough structural reinforcement. I’m moving to Florida for an internship in a week (nearly 1k miles) and cannot risk a total oil dump or engine failure. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is the pan toast or can I just continue with my Time-Sert repair?

As title says. Doing some maintenance on my 330i and I'm stuck on the balance shaft end covers.

The plug is loose (both driver and passenger side) enough to spin and move back and forth a couple of millimeters, but it just won't come out. I’ve tried grabbing two end with pliers and pulling, prying the lip with a flathead and going around to try and get a lip out, and using a pick tool to try and jam in and get into the O-ring. No luck.

Is there a specific trick to getting the O-ring to clear the bore? Trying to not break the plastic tabs or mess up the hole itself. Any advice is appreciated!

Edit: Pulling really hard and working in some PB Blaster ended up working
