Where to find hungry ladybugs to help us out? 🐞
We have a honeysuckle that gets majorly infested every year with aphids, so much so that pesticides barely do anything, the only thing that saved it last year were good old ladybugs that we introduced to the plant after finding them randomly... question being, is there anywhere guaranteed (or well, highly likely) specifically, that we could find some hungry ladybugs that could help us out?
Opinions on whether genuine Muonionalusta
I've found a shop selling loads of different pendants, with very high ratings (though that doesn't translate to guaranteeing authenticity), all claiming to be made from Muonionalusta meteorite, like the attached photo (this is baked apparently, hence the colour). Two things that are making me question, given I already have Muonionalusta in my own collection, is the price (the pendant is £40, so 11.9g of meteorite plus the craftsmanship and shipping etc.), and the Widmanstatten pattern which looks way to 'bulky' compared to the specimen I have (much smaller and more frequent lines). What do you guys think?
I live in south east UK but frequently make the 6 hour round trip down to Lyme Regis as I absolutely love the abundance of pyrite ammonites, and I found this absolute cracker on a recent trip, my best ammonite find to date 😃 I've cleaned it up as best I can!
Been collecting since age 14 and just wanted to share with the community. I know... I should probably have these better protected! From pic 1 to pic 4, left to right (ignore the fossils around!):
- 1g Iron Gibeon
- 1g Iron Canyon Diablo
- 3g Sericho Pallasite Slice
- L4/5 Common Chondrite Low Iron
- NWA 365 (95% sure, picked this in my early days collecting) Common Chondrite
- H5 Common Chondrite (Morocco)
- Campo Del Cielo (my first ever meteorite chunk)
- Tatahouine Diogenite
- Sikhote-Alin Iron Nickel (Russia)
- Muonionalusta Meteorite (Sweden)
- Nantan Meteorite (China)
- Tektite
- L4/5 Common Chondrite
Let me know what you think 🤔
