Potential fossil found on the shore of a beach in Auckland New Zealand. Any ideas of what this is? My science loving children are very interested. Please be kind.

Is this what I think it is?

Bones found in Central Montana around the Missouri River, near the Upper Missouri River Breaks national monument

I found this bone late one evening hiking with a friend, we had known there were “dinosaur” bones found within the rock in the area that we had seen before, but then we kept stumbling and found this crazy thing! It was near the very top layer of the geological layers seen in the picture. I was just curious if anyone had any idea what it could be, I can give more information on the location if needed. Pictures 1-8 are the first bone, I included some photos of the area and layer it was found in.

I also have attached a second picture, this one was found down low, maybe a half mile from the river and it is ground level. The last three pictures are of this bone, I tried to include where it was found as well.

I was just curious if anyone had any ideas or thought about either bone, thanks!

Fossil ID - Morris Island, SC

Found this interesting fossilized bone on Morris Island, SC. It measures 5 inches long. I’m guessing chunk of a whale bone but the shape merits further inquiry. Any insights greatly appreciated!

Cadoceras sublaeve

I collected this earlier this year but it broke on extraction. It’s been sat on my bench for weeks so I decided to do something with it this morning. I think this is quite a good salvage job. Bit of tidying up to do still, but I’m quite chuffed with it.

Fossile o altro?

Ciao, mio figlio (8 anni) ha trovato su una roccia questi segni. Era sopra Lecco (LC) vicino a un piccolo corso d’acqua. Ci sembra il calco di un fossile. É possibile? In alternativa cosa potrebbe essere? Grazie mille

Fossil Display and Storage?

Would like to see some examples of how some of you are storing and displaying fossils that you are finding. I've mainly been just standing some of them on a shelf or on my fireplace mantle and I also have a couple of pieces behind my stove like as a backsplash of sorts. But I am starting to find more and needing some more proper storage space for them. Just want to get some ideas.

2026 Collection - new home, 6 years of adventures!

Had the chance to move our collection into a new home over the weekend and wanted to share! This is almost all self-collected with a few items traded with other collectors around the world. Mainly US east coast finds with a few things from across the pond. One day i'll find an intact meg from the Calvert Cliffs!!

Fossils or just cool rocks?

Found them on Mappleton Beach in UK.

One of them looks like a coprolite, the other like a bone fragment from quite a large animal. Forgot to include a coin for scale for the "coprolite", but it's the size of 3 1£ coins, and quite heavy for the size.

First fossil I’ve ever found. Any way to date this or tell what kind of shark it’s from?
