It’s a dino fossil North Saskatchewan River near Edmonton, Alberta

Posted about this a couple weeks ago and finally got a response from our provincial palaeontologists. It indeed is very likely a Dino fossil. What a cool find.

Cool sandstone pattern

Anyone care to explain how the thin wavy pattern in this sandstone typically forms? These photos were taken in the north Saskatchewan river valley in central Alberta.

Fossil North Saskatchewan River

Found this in a creek that drains into the North Saskatchewan river west of Edmonton. The location of the fossil was close to the same elevation as the north Saskatchewan river. Interested as to what it could be.
