Fibro Symptoms
To be clear, I have not been formally diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but it is something that has been brought up as a possibility while I test "normal" for everything else.
But I don't want to get halfway down the wrong road to find out that maybe my symptoms don't meet the criteria.
This is what I've been dealing with lately: The back of my neck, base of my skull and entire scalp HURTS to the touch, the skin is actually tender to the slightest touch. My arms, back of my hands and tops of my feet feel the same way, tender to the touch. I have the chills up and down my torso and am always cold. I am tired. So tired, I could lie down and sleep right now but I will wake up feeling equally as tired. I have a constant dull headache. My shoulders, back and neck ache. And I'm cranky.
I do not have any fever, infection, bad teeth (they did check that), abnormal blood tests, etc.
I hate when I look at my doctor and she tells me that she doesn't know why I have these symptoms but I feel like she's thinking I'm losing my mind OR that I'm med-seeking, which I am not. I take tylenol or advil (or a combination of both) but they only minimize the aching for a little while. I don't want pain medication, I want to figure out why I have pain and how to get rid of it.
Am I wasting my time looking for answers?
