Just a reminder to everyone - if you aren't already wed to a favorite mod manager for FO4 - Mod Organizer 2 has a 'stock game' feature that lets you freeze whatever version of your favorite Creation Engine games you want.

>Stock game is a feature utilised by quite a Wabbajack modlists for Skyrim to ensure that the original game folder is kept clean. It's important to keep the main game folders clean and compartmentalise modding as much as possible to minimize any potential issues. Stock game functions by creating a copy of your Skyrim install in a new folder and redirecting all the paths in that particular MO2 instance to use that.
Folks have been using it on the Skyrim side of things for forever now. And those that do don't have to deal with this whole 'update' drama because they know that the updates aren't going to touch the version of the game they are playing until they want them to.
