My dad is very lonely these days. He’s old and lives by himself, so he found a dog that needed a home to keep him company. I’ve just found out that the groomer told my dad that they think he has eczema. I see this dog constantly scratching. My dad doesn’t have a lot of money so he refuses to go to the vet for this. I told him I would pay half, even though I don’t have a lot of money either. He still refuses. I’m so angry. He doesn’t deserve to have a dog if he doesn’t take it to the vet. I don’t know what to do. Every time a pet of his has had a problem in the past, I’ve had to advocate for it and take it to the vet. When I offer to pay half, he usually agrees, but this time he won’t. Maybe because every time I notice something and take the dog to get care, the vet reveals a terminal diagnosis that costs a lot of money.
The only thing I can think of is to just pay for it all myself, but I seriously can’t afford that. I’m just so angry. Are there home remedies that anyone knows of for eczema?
Finished the schooling, and I am set to take the AEMCA. Maybe it’s burnout, maybe imposter syndrome, but I feel that the stress from these past couple years has finally gotten to me and it’s making me fall out of love with this career. Has anyone else gone through this during the homestretch? Is this normal? Should I keep pushing?I’ve spent so much money to accomplish this. I just feel that i don’t have what it takes anymore
