80+ SAB on all 3, analog as my movement, no scripts no smart actions just a Odin’s AA+ Curve from the Curve Library in the Config section. I think it’s time to sell the xims everybody.

BRUTAL Job Market has hit Aviation (RIP NEW TECHS)

MROs, applied. New Tech taking majors, applied. Majors anyway, applied. Whatever it is, nothing gets back, denies you, or wants 2-3 years of experience but have 5-6 applications up for multiple bases and locations. Referrals aren't working, and this Spirit Airline event has interfered with the career startup of us new license holders all. It's a nice sparkly decoration I yearned years for in my wallet. I've taken all the advice senior guys give,

Be Willing to Relocate

Get your foot in the door, don't wait for the perfect job

Don't self-reject on applications, apply anyway

Don't put all your hopes into one place

Nothing seems to work or any hiring momentum picks up, just radio silence. I know I'm not the only one going through this which is very unmotivating as someone who wants to start this career with good energy.

Corporate Office Full of Employees… But the Guard Shack Does Their Call-Offs?

So at my post, we are responsible for doing call-outs for the company we are contracted to. I work an Access control that is pretty hefty when it comes to credentials and possible people that may easily slip by due to my shifts volume. Recently, my supervisor has been on a slight uptrend of constantly complaining to me about a messed up call-off email, or call off list, or some absolute BULLSHIT that has NOTHING to do with access control that the contractor is apparently filing complaints on about us. They have a multi million dollar state-of-the-art office back there with office ladies and guys in suits. Why the FUCK is the security guy in a hut next to the trees doing CALL-OFFS for the whole shit?!! What the fuck could they possibly be doing in that office… Anyways, these supervisors at Allied are coming at me for complete non-security issues that have nothing to do with my actual access control duties.. does anybody else get handed off office labor? Is this normal?

Hey everyone, I’m a new A&P coming out of school and I’m trying to improve my LinkedIn profile.

For someone with no airline, regional, or MRO experience yet, what should I actually include?

Should I list my old non aviation jobs, or keep the profile focused only on aviation training?

Besides the A&P license, what school projects, hands on skills, tools, inspections, systems, or keywords are worth adding?

For anyone who hires or works around new mechanics, what makes a fresh A&P look like a good candidate on LinkedIn?

Also, if anyone has seen a strong LinkedIn profile from an aircraft mechanic or entry level A&P, I’d appreciate an example so I can get a better idea of the layout.
