why did the hallucination symptom occured only once in the new path lmaoaoao??(or twice if we include the liu xi one, but that was obviously a hallucination) it was literally implemented in the first significant choice in the new path. i thought they would utilize that more.

it would be quite fun if we're constantly questioning if shit's real or not through subtle clues or something, instead of giving the choice to kill/leave/betray li tai 90% of the time where we OBVIOUSLY KNOW isn't the right choice as the game won't end this fast😭

i'm not upset with the new path JUST because of the >!main ending being a sad one, sad endings hit like crack sometimes, it makes the ship even more buzzy. however, sad endings to me have to make sense for it to hit harder, which is something that i feel wasn't written well in rte2. !<

>!li tai's death feels like it just happened because he also died young!< in real history. some people said the devs were scared of the history police so they had to stick with the real history about >!his death!< which baffles me. princess gaoyang & wu zetian were not friends irl, but no one seems to complain about that historical inaccuracy. wu zetian also didn't have an aunt in the palace, but no history police cared about that either. it's just funny how suddenly with >!li tai's death!< , they HAVE TO follow history lmao

the moment u decide to create the whole li tai x wu yuanzhao love line, you're already not following history. so are we actually surprised that you'll receive hate & criticism from the people that are all about historical accuracy? NO, SO WHY NOT JUST STAND ON IT? u started this whole fanfic alternative plotline, so why not finish it properly?

i hate how they took risks in rte1 & how i can feel them pulling back in rte2, especially after i discovered the original script leaks

i have 2 main things to talk about:

1. wu yuanzhao being so ooc

the way there were so many moments where they give us the choice to either >!kill li tai, leave him, betray him, or use him by acting like we have feelings for him.!<

the one that triggered me the most is when >!he still decided to give us the antidote at the end and we can STILL choose to be moved or PRETEND WE ARE MOVED!< this was so fucking baffling to me lmao

i know wu yuanzhao is technically kinda like an npc, we're literally the ones making choices for her. but i just thought that if we choose the new path, that means our character will >!guarantee have some genuine feelings for li tai, it doesn't even have to be romantic, just some actual care towards him as a friend. cause if we dont have any feelings/care for li tai, why are we even picking the new path lmaoaoao??? i would just choose the empress path to get my throne!<

but i guess yea u can go with the "completely just wanting a new life and not having any feelings for your supposed love interest" route, same with the empress path. but man if u played both paths, u can TELL the difference lmao

if u don't have any feelings for li zhi in the empress path, >!u literally don't have a choice to kill him or betray him directly to get the throne lmao. the most we can do is just tell him we never loved him when he's on his death bed, which is already very sad mind u. !<so that tells me how badly they wrote wu yuanzhao in the new path. cause if we want wu yuanzhao to be someone that does not having feelings for anyone, the worst thing we can do to li zhi is >!telling him we don't love him. !<meanwhile, the worst thing we can do to li tai is >!fucking killing him & pretending to be moved when he saved our ass despite everything!<

wu yuanzhao x li tai's relationship felt like a one sided crush at some point which was so irritating to me, i feel like that was not what we were promised to have

2. the original script leaks posted by someone on weibo

first of all, >!there were 13 chapters written in the orginal script, we only have 7 now!<

secondly, most of the scenes in the first rte2 trailer >!not being in rte2!< like HELLO??? the scene where wu yuanzhao & li tai were back to back and surrounded by people, preparing to fight them >!being reduced to a bad ending in rte2. the interesting QTEs are also gone. in the original script, that was a whole plotline, not just a sequence for a bad ending. besides that, we were supposed to have WAY more scenes with li tai in white & wu yuanzhao in that purple dress.!<

thirdly, in the original script, >!after they rode horses together, they would sit down somewhere and talk, yuanzhao would start flirting with him and then they would kiss and makeout on the grass, lying down !<omg im fucking pissed again, WE COULD'VE HAD THIS >!there was also jealous li tai in the original script!<

yao chi (actor of li tai) said in a live that there might be more content of the new path coming out soon, he also acknowledged the reaction & feedback of the new path >!(short storyline & sad endings)!< he said it will not be a dlc though, i think the devs will just upload more content a few weeks later

there's a speculation on xhs that the new path will have 12 chapters & the empress path will have 20 chapters (take this with a grain of salt)

if this is true, im honestly quite pleased with it as im expecting worse lmaoaoa😭 there's just too much shit happening in the empress path (if you know how the original game/real history goes) for a 16:16 chapters division (32 chapters total in rte2) between the empress path & the new path to be possible

how do yall think the chapters will be divided & how do yall WANT the chapters to be divided if we exclude the politics? i obviously would want a 16:16 but i know that's never gonna happen🥀🥀
