Jae's design, and how a lot of people seem to have very closed minds

On Twitter and TikTok, I’ve mainly seen people complaining about Jae’s design—specifically regarding why his hair was so long and voluminous, his clothing, and his lack of Air Nomad tattoos

I think the reason for those complaints is that our perspective is quite biased; we have a preconceived notion of what Air Nomads—or in Jae's case, an Airbender—should look like, based on *ATLA* and *LOK*. After all, we don't see many Airbenders: in *ATLA*, they only appear in a few flashbacks, and it isn't until Book Three of *LOK* that we see more of them—and even then, they aren't the same kind of Airbenders as those from the past. So, most people have a very rigid idea: if it's a woman, she has to look like Yangchen; if it's a man, he has to look like Aang, Tenzin, or Gyatso

  1. In this era of Seven Heavens, Beanders are very scarce; in Elora, where Jae and Pavi live, people with Beanding abilities are recruited from a young age to serve—which is very likely the case for Jae as well

2)Jae IS a soldier, NOT a monk—not a monk like, I don't know, Gyatso

3)There is a possibility that the four nations (possibly including the Air Nation as well)—and perhaps Jae too, having been recruited at an early age—might never have had the chance to receive their tattoos, assuming the tattoo culture still exists (which I consider unlikely)

Furthermore, I’ll give examples of characters from before Aang’s era—even before Roku’s time: Jetsun, Yangchen’s mentor, didn’t have that kind of shaved hairstyle; in her official design, she has a full head of hair. Khandro, Zeisan’s fiancé, had long, full hair. Jinpa, Kyoshi’s secretary and a member of the White Lotus, had no tattoos

(Also why do so many people think Jae is a girl?)

Jae looks like Zuko and Aang's fanchild

You’d be surprised by the number of people who think Jae looks like the son Aang and Zuko would have together

Will there be guns or firearms in Avatar Seven Heavens?

Do you think guns existed by Pavi's time?

Since bending won't be as common anymore, perhaps those who don't have that skill will look for another alternative, as they will now be the majority, like Asami and her electric glove

How is Aang's character perceived in this era?

I know, I know, it's wrong of me to say this, and I'm sure you're all tired of hearing that we should let Aang go. But I have this question: he's Korra's previous Avatar, so what does his appearance look like? Or the appearance of the other Avatars before Korra? Was their knowledge lost? Were their experiences and stories altered? Will the airbenders and air nomads (if any of them remain) feel conflicted about his appearance, or something similar?

What will the figures of other avatars before Korra look like in Pavi's era?

theories or assumptions of the airbenders

I saw someone here theorizing that the Air Nomads or Airbenders could become the opposite of what they used to be—that they would become more militarized or something like that. In The Legend of Korra, they took the name of the Air Nation (I emphasize NATION, like the Fire Nation), and I think it would be interesting if the Air Nomads or Airbenders became something similar to what destroyed the originals (not too far removed from what happens in our reality...). We can assume this since Jae belongs to some military force or something, and his uniform seems to be military. I think it would be interesting to see the Air Nomads or Airbenders from a different perspective.

Should I be worried about Jae's age and him becoming a father figure?

Many people are referring to Jae as playing a kind of father figure to Pavi, but the casting sheets refer to him mainly as a teen, or a young man, but primarily as a teen. And he's going to have to question everything he believes. I don't know why, but to me it's like Zuko having to assume Iroh's role as mentor, guide, guardian, moral compass, and so on for one or two little girls, or possibly more children, while he has to face his own problems and find his own way (so to speak). Imagine dealing with all that, and also being someone who's around 16-20 years old. (Do you think when it premieres the fandom will make jokes that Jae is a teenage dad for Pavi and probably Nisha too?)
