Offering Mandarin | Seeking English / Long-term friendships

Hey! Mid-30s professional guy living in Utah/US. I enjoy travel, hiking, food, history, religion, current events, movie, classical music/singing (still learning!)....

Looking for language exchange and meaningful conversations, online or offline, and hopefully some long-term friendships. Happy to help with Mandarin and practice English with native speakers.

Feel free to DM me!

Couldn’t believe it. Grateful to share, and hope it helps even a little.

Went through Themis handouts. Completed around 1100+ QBank questions only once (including the latest 100, no time to do the other 100) and put all the mistakes and key points in excel sheets as per subject, which I reviewed 2-3 times. I explored the Mary Basick book, mainly focusing on the highly tested subjects. Only practiced 1-2 full essays per subject before the exam and completed 3 PTs, but I went through Basick’s sample answers and practicing outlining. For CA laws, I turned to SmartBarPrep.

On exam day, I tackled the PT first in the afternoon and prioritized the essays I felt most comfortable with. Only halfway through the final essay and had to rush the ending...

I think this shows NO need to be perfect — just to demonstrate basic competence. I’m pretty sure the MBE carried my passing score in the end.

QUALITY mattered more than quantity.

Best of LUCK, folks! Thank God and everyone who cares about me.

Couldn’t believe it. I genuinely thought I was going to fail and end up doing 20 MCQs a week even after the exam. Grateful to share my experience, and I hope it helps even a little.
