Is Pauline Kael's review of 2001 the apex mountain of god awful critiques?

It reads like what Simmons was saying about LeBron James in 2011.

There's people who are actually going to jump off the Spurs bandwagon and on to the Knicks bandwagon just to be disappointed by another Thunder title.

Giannis better start packing his bags for San Antonio. Bill will drive him to the airport.

Hopefully doesn't go to the wrong terminal and ship Giannis to OKC.

Bill Simmons says Wilt Chamberlain was a loser with a bad attitude, but if he was drafted to a loaded team like the Celtics instead of Russell wouldn't he have won double digit titles, too?

Do people not know how anti-competitive the NBA was in the 50s and 60s? Wilt with 3 to 4 all-nba talents would dominate just as hard.

What if Wemby had his Iverson game, The Thunder go 16-1, and Wemby never makes a relevant run again cause of injuries?

Thunder could be fulfilling the early 2000s Lakers prophecy on their way to a threepeat.

All the lame series are going to seven games

Hopefully Spurs vs Thunder makes up for this mediocre playoffs.

Trading for Giannis is an outdated way of thinking.

Don't waste your draft picks on a player who is 32 years old. Wait for him to become a free agent.

Contenders should pivot and build draft stock. That is the future of the nba. You need young players to survive the gauntlet of an nba playoffs schedule. You need young players because they are cheaper. You need young players because they will most likely be better than old Marcus smart and Luke Kennard.

If you are trading for your Giannis, you have to pray he doesn't get injured and can survive a full playoff schedule. Because if he can't you are screwed.

Can the spurs be trusted in a three game series against a proven playoff team?

This is where young teams usually fail when you expect them to succeed. It doesn't help they don't have Pop out there, either. Finch could put on a clinic the next two games.

The podcast is actually funny when Simmons is checked out on the NBA playoffs.

This is good content. Simmons sounds more and more like an out-of-touch, old man. It's fun when Bill isn't interested because when he is he just frames everything through the lens of the Celtics. Celtics being out means more uncut, raw and confusing takes from Bill.

Not sure he should have an MVP vote, but it does lead to more gaffes so it works.

He's about to turn 30 and he's having a meltdown online after a first round collapse.

Still think the Nuggets should trade Jamal Murray and a FRP for him.
