Almost 7 year old son is SO annoying….mom is getting so tired of this
Desperately need advice please 🙏
Our son is 6 almost 7. He has always been a very sweet boy and good listener but probably for the past 1.5 years ish he is so extremely loud and annoying and it’s driving our family insane. He has a little sister who is 5 and then mom(me) and dad.
He is just SO loud, his normal talking level is super loud, then he makes a ton of extra sounds all the time even louder, when he gets excited he flails his whole body around and is super loud, he talks in a super annoying baby voice all the time too. I honestly don’t think he’s doing any of it to be purposely annoying, he almost seems like he can’t control himself. When you try to correct him he once again responds annoyingly with a baby voice or stupid faces etc.
I’m having such a hard time because I don’t want to break his spirit, I want to accept and love him how he is, and I can only imagine that having your behavior corrected all day long/ having your family be so frustrated with you must feel awful and I don’t want to cause him to have any self esteem issues. On the other hand though it’s very very hard to be around him when he acts like this, and I don’t want him to think it’s okay to act obnoxious. I don’t want him to be the annoying kid at school or with friends, honestly being likable is a really important quality.
Open to any and all advice, specifically if you have sons and have dealt with something similar, thanks in advance
