Desktronic HomePro Standing Desk Review
Hey everyone, here’s a short review and written experience of the Desktronic HomePro Standing Desk, which I’ve been using for around a year now!
I went with the 140cm x 60cm model and added the cable management tray separately. After a year of daily use, it has been a reliable desk that still feels solid in my setup.

Price and value
One of the main reasons I chose the HomePro was the value. In my opinion, the best combination is one of the Solid Oak “Premium” colourways paired with a white frame, it really does not get much cleaner than that, and for lesser than £500, its a worthwhile invesment!

Compared with other standing desks in a similar category, it offers a strong spec for the price, especially with the dual-motor frame, memory presets, wide height range, and high weight capacity.
I’d definitely recommend adding the cable tray and desk drawer as extras. The cable tray makes cable management so much easier, while the desk drawer is genuinely handy, solid, and great for keeping everyday essentials tucked away.

Also, I’d recommend adding the cheeky Desktronic Wobble Stool too might as well complete the setup: https://www.instagram.com/p/DVGauwwCHdm/
Delivery and packaging
The desk arrived in separate boxes, with the frame and desktop packaged individually. Both were quite heavy, but that was a good sign to me as it immediately felt like a more substantial desk rather than something lightweight or flimsy.
Everything arrived safely and the parts were well protected. There was a fair amount of packaging around the frame components, but nothing unexpected for a desk of this weight.
Assembly
Assembly is not difficult, but I would not say it is a super quick job either. The instructions are straightforward and the parts are clearly laid out, but because the frame and top are heavy, it is much easier with two people.
The main tip I would give is to install the cable management tray before flipping the desk upright. It is much easier to do while the desktop is still upside down.
Build quality
The frame feels sturdy and well engineered. The desk uses a dual-motor lift system, and after a year of use, the motors still move smoothly without any issues.
At sitting height, the desk feels very stable. At standing height, there is a small amount of movement if you lean into it, but for normal use like typing, editing, working or filming, it performs well.
The desktop has also held up nicely. The surface still looks clean, there is no noticeable flex, and it handles my monitor arm, accessories and daily setup without any problems.
Everyday use
The height adjustment is smooth and consistent, and the memory presets make it easy to switch between sitting and standing positions without having to manually adjust it every time.
The control panel is also practical, especially with the built-in USB-A and USB-C ports. It is a small feature, but useful for quickly charging accessories or smaller devices.
Motor noise is about what I would expect from an electric standing desk. It is not silent, but it is not loud enough to be annoying either. You can hear it when it moves, but only for a few seconds.
Final thoughts
After a year of using the Desktronic HomePro, I’m still happy with it.
It is stable, practical, clean-looking and has held up well as my main desk. There are a few small things to keep in mind, like the cable tray being an extra and the assembly being easier with two people, but overall it feels like a strong option for the price.
If you want a solid electric standing desk for a home office, gaming setup or creator workspace, the HomePro is definitely worth considering.
