Help on the best way forward
Hi, looking for some advice on what to do. I had an ectopic pregnancy September 2025 which resulted in emergency surgery to remove my tube. Since then, I have miscarried 3 times. I am based in the uk. Each time, the early pregnancy unit cannot help me because I can’t get far enough along for them to do anything and they have told me to speak to my doctor and be referred for recurrent loss. I have an appointment this week and I need to know what to ask.
After my last loss I paid privately to see a fertility consultant and was told it was probably just “bad luck” and there wasn’t really anything they could do to help other than suggest IVF where they can do genetic testing. I felt like this was a huge waste of time and money and I feel like I’m past the point of it just being “bad luck”.
I really want to be in a good, strong position to advocate for myself this week so any advice would be appreciated.
