First time visiting Orlando and the US — any advice?

Hi everyone!

A little about me: I'm 28 years old, from Spain, and I'll be staying in Orlando for roughly a month for a work project.

Since it will be my first time visiting both Florida and the United States, I wanted to ask for some advice from locals and people familiar with the area.

To be honest, I'm a little nervous about it. It's a long way from home, and I'll be traveling completely on my own, so I'd really appreciate any tips, warnings, or things you think a newcomer should know before arriving.

Some things I'd love to hear about:

Things that might surprise a visitor from Europe.

Safety tips and areas I should avoid.

Transportation advice (public transport, Uber, renting a car, etc.).

Weather recommendations, especially during summer.

Cultural differences and everyday etiquette.

Good local restaurants or foods I should try.

Places worth visiting on weekends.

Common mistakes tourists or newcomers make in Orlando.

Thanks in advance!
