Hey everyone,
We have a furniture factory in Foshan and we’re currently expanding our international business. I’m trying to better understand the overseas market and I’d love some honest feedback from this community.
When you’re sourcing high-end furniture (especially custom pieces), which route do you usually take? • Option A: Sourcing Agent. You pay a bit more for the convenience, quality control, and someone to handle the logistics/headaches. • Option B: Factory Direct. You deal with us directly to save on costs and have total control over the build, even if the communication takes a bit more effort.
A few questions for the pros here:
- What’s the #1 thing that scares you about working directly with a factory?
- If a factory offered total transparency—like sending you raw video updates of your specific piece being built—would that change your mind?
I’m not here to drop links or spam; I genuinely want to build a better service for international clients. What are we (factories) currently missing? Appreciate any insights!
