Rhine-Waal University (HSRW) - Design and Interaction M.A. Selection Process & Timeline Questions

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to gather some realistic information about the admission process for the Design and Interaction M.A. programme at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences (HSRW).
Since it is an NC-frei programme but requires a mandatory creative aptitude test, I have a few questions about how the selection works:
1. If an applicant successfully passes the artistic/creative aptitude test, how much weight does the undergraduate GPA hold during the final document review by the university/uni-assist? Is there a high chance of rejection based on GPA after passing the portfolio stage?
2. For those who applied in previous semesters, how long did it usually take for HSRW to issue the final admission letter (Zulassungsbescheid) after uni-assist forwarded the documents?
3. If an applicant's academic documents were already verified by uni-assist for other universities earlier in the same semester, does the evaluation/forwarding process for HSRW usually go faster?

Any insights on past timelines or experiences would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

“What remote work would you pursue today with my skill set?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently looking for reliable remote work / freelance platforms besides Upwork and Fiverr that are open internationally.

My main goal right now is honestly to build a stable 5–6 month income period before moving abroad for graduate studies. I’m not necessarily looking only for “dream jobs” at the moment — I mainly need realistic remote work opportunities that actually pay and are accessible internationally.

My background is in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and my current skills are mostly:

• 3D visualization
• Interior rendering
• Architectural presentation boards
• Moodboards & concept visuals
• Revit / AutoCAD / 3ds Max / Twinmotion / Photoshop
• Spatial atmosphere & environment design

I’m also currently learning Unreal Engine for realtime environments and cinematic visualization.

That said, I’m open to other kinds of remote work too if the barrier to entry is realistic. I’ve recently started looking into:
- AI training / data annotation
- remote visualization support
- rendering work
- online assistant-type work
- creative/visual remote jobs

I’d really appreciate honest advice from people already working online/remotely.

Questions:
• What platforms besides Upwork/Fiverr are actually worth trying in 2026?
• Are AI training/data annotation jobs actually worth the time?
• Are there remote jobs related to visualization/design that people overlook?
• If you needed to build income relatively quickly with my skill set, what would you focus on?

I’m okay with hearing realistic answers — I’m mainly trying to build a sustainable online income stream for the next several months while continuing to improve my long-term skills.

Thanks a lot :)
