Ticket in transfer limbo with Stubhub
I bought some World Cup tickets on StubHub, and I signed up using my apple account with a private email relay (huge mistake). It’s a private email address apple created only for StubHub, and won’t work with other websites.
Well, the tickets were transferred to that private email address on fifa.com. And I can’t create a fifa account with it since the email verification attempts from fifa get blocked (since the email address only works with StubHub). Stubhub initially said they’d ask the seller to transfer them to my new email address once I changed it on my account. But now they’re saying the initial transfer can’t be cancelled. Apple is trying to help me reuse the private relay email address on fifa.com, but we’re unsuccessful so far.
Any advice? Is it legit that a ticket sender can’t cancel a pending transfer and resend to a new email? Anyone else in a similar situation?
Note to self: never using Apple private relay email again…more hassle than it’s worth
