Seller send PDF tickets, venue does not accept them, StubHub has been silent on the matter

I Purchased some tickets for a college football game, and the seller later sent a PDF that looks like screenshots of digital tickets (from an apple wallet for example) that have QR codes on each. This seemed questionable, so I checked the venue's website and they specifically say that a printed PDF of tickets will not be accpeted, and that they must be digitially transfered as the QR code displayed on the digital ticket changes periodically to prevent this very such thing.

I emailed StubHub support about 3 weeks ago about this, they confirmed that they undrestood that the venue would not accept the PDF of the "tickets" I was sent, and would reach out to the seller to ask them to send them digitally. They asked me to wait 5 days for them to go through, and now here we are 3 weeks later I have gotten nothing at all. I followed up with StubHub a week ago to tell them I still haven't received anything, but have not gotten another response. I emailed them yet agian today opening a new support ticket, but at this point I am very worried they'll either go radio silent on me or just "assure" me that the seller will send the tickets digitally.

I told them them that at this point, if they seller isnt willing or able to digitally transfer the tickets, then I'd need a refund so I can make other arrangments, as I have people coming in from out of town to go to this game.

What other options do I have? I've heard so many horror stories of StubHub either claiming "well they sent you tickets, not our problem anymore" or waiting until the day of the event to refund you (or even later), but if I can get this resolved before then then at least I can find alternative arrangments.

Is there any advice anyone can give on how to proceed? Thanks

Venue says they do not accept StubHub tickets

I recently sold tickets to an upcoming show on StubHub. There was nothing in the fine print of the ticket or through the venue’s site that stated that the tickets could not be transferred. After they sold, I went to transfer the tickets and that option was not available. I then called StubHub who said their internal notes say PDF copies of the tickets are fine and to email them that. I did and they accepted it but I kept getting emails asking me to upload a high resolution image of the tickets. I then emailed the venue and they stated they do not even accept StubHub tickets. I’ve since emailed this to StubHub and called several times, and each time they say that I am responsible for providing the tickets and I will get charged the penalty if I cancel or can’t provide the tickets.

On the last call, I asked the representative to cancel the tickets because I don’t want the buyer to be turned away at the door. The representative reversed the status of the tickets back to waiting on me to upload them, and then instructed me to click on “I don’t have the tickets” so that I could cancel the sale. When I told her that’s not true and fraud, she told me she would escalate it to cancel the tickets. That hasn’t happened.

Is there anything I can do here to protect myself?

What’s The End Game For Fraudulent Sellers?

As I am currently going through this right now on StubHub, I’m trying to figure out what the seller’s end game is for posting fake listings?

If a seller posts tickets they don’t have, that will get sniffed out before the concert even happens because the buyer (me) won’t have the tickets. When that happens, doesn’t StubHub charge the seller 100% for not completing the sale?

I’m just trying to connect the dots here of how this scam would benefit anyone…

Recieved a refund only after filing a BBB complaint

I sold tickets and a parking pass on StubHub a few months ago. I transferred the tickets and the pass to the buyer through Ticketmaster. I have the email confirmation that they were transferred.

The day of the event, StubHub contacted me and said the buyer received the tickets but not the parking pass. I sent them proof of transfer, and StubHub replied that they had received it and that there was nothing more for me to do.

A few days later, they charged me $89 for failing to send the parking pass to the buyer. I disputed the charge with StubHub and sent them all the documentation that showed I sent the parking pass. I had several conversations with customer support where they told me I would be refunded. Then. after several months, they denied my dispute without a clear reason. They said it was a final decision.

I ended up filing a claim with the BBB. That seemed to work. StubHub quickly responded to the BBB claim, stating they had escalated the issue and would refund $89.

I'm glad I finally got my refund. But, geez, what a waste of time and energy.

So if you're having refund issues with StubHub, I'd definitely recommend filing a BBB complaint. They seem to manage those better than submitting directly. Good luck!

StubHub changed my listing price

I recently listed bts tickets and was checking on it just to find out that somehow StubHub is selling the tickets for 60$ cheaper then my original listing price ???

Will I still receive the full amount if I sell ?? Is this normal thing that happends ?

I transferred the tickets to StubHub cause it was a requirement for this concert since I’m in Canada ig,

But now I’m scared I’m not gonna be able to actually make back what I spent on the ticket.

Accidentally listed 5 tickets when I only own 2 — what happens if I can’t fulfill the orders?

I need some advice because I’m in a really difficult situation with StubHub/Viagogo.

I only own 2 tickets, but I somehow ended up with 5 tickets listed, and unfortunately all 5 sold.

While using the Japanese StubHub site, I kept getting messages saying that my tickets would not sell at the current price and that I should lower the price. I thought I was simply changing the price of my existing listing, but apparently each time I went through the process, a completely new listing was created.
By the time I realized what had happened, all 5 tickets had already sold.

I have already contacted customer service and explained the situation, but they keep telling me that I am responsible for fulfilling the sales or paying the penalty. I understand that I should have checked more carefully, but I genuinely believe the website flow was extremely confusing and that this was an honest mistake, not an attempt to deceive anyone.
Has anyone successfully disputed something like this, especially when duplicate listings were created by mistake?
Also, if I cannot fulfill the extra 3 tickets and continue disputing the charges, what actually happens after the event date passes?

Will StubHub/Viagogo automatically charge my card?
If the charge fails, will they email me and demand payment?
Will they simply suspend or permanently ban my account?
Can they send the debt to a collection agency or take further action?
I’m especially interested in hearing from someone who has personally been through this situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

Stubhub cancelling my order as a seller after tickets have been sold

Has this ever happened to anyone? I listed some comedy fest tickets to sell on stubhub since I can't go anymore. I got a notification this morning saying my tickets have been sold, including email address and name of the buyer for the ticket transfer.

A couple of hours later, I get another email from stubhub saying that "Unfortunately, this order will be canceled for reasons outside of your control." It then proceeds to instruct to transfer my tickets instead to another email: "Please note that you will not be charged for this cancellation. In addition, you will still be paid for the order, provided that you transfer the tickets to the following email address: shmobilereturns@gmail.com."

I haven't transfered tickets yet and was going to do so later this evening. But I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone before and why would stubhub ask me to transfer tickets to them if I still own them? I will be calling customer service in the morning to validate, but I'm first curious to hear if this has ever happened to anyone else.

view obstructed, not listed on ticket or stubhub listing. Pretty annoyed.

This is from Foo Fighters last night at Nats Park. As you can see the railing blocked off almost half the stage. The ticket did not say anything about this, neither was it listed on the listing.

Should I use Wise to receive USD payout if I live in Europe?

Hello everyone, I recently sold a ticket in USD, but I actually live in Germany and only have EUR bank accounts. Afaik the only options available for me would be PayPal and WISE, but PayPal always deducts a large fee. I do have a WISE account, but the main currency is in euros. Have any of you ever used WISE in this situation before?

Any help is appreciated!

Be Prepared to Wait for More Than A Week After the Concert for Even The Paypal Transfer to Begin

Provide Stubhub pdf tickets; they upload and sell immediately. They hold funds until 2 days after the concert; they then 2 days after the concert say they will send a Paypal payment a full week later. The float here is unreasonable. (Yep, they need verify no tomfoolery for the buyer, but the other delay ... confiscatory.) Fool me once ...

Stubhub concert tickets

I bought 4 tickets in stubhub to a concert that is tomorrow and I haven’t received them yet. It says they will be delivered by tomorrow but I’m really anxious about this as I’ve never had it take this long. I have read mixed reviews from people. I can’t decide if I should get replacement tickets on Ticketmaster as I was responsible for 4 people.

Ticketransfer nightmare

I purchased tickets to Noah Kahan and they are finally viewable today, the show is tomorrow. I purchased three tickets originally via StubHub, and one person can no longer go, so I am selling one ticket. I sold it via StubHub and when I went to transfer them, I cannot do so without sending all three tickets because they’re only viewable in ticketransfer. I have called Customer Service three separate times because the phone call keeps getting “dropped”. The first time I was advised to contact the buyer of the single ticket directly, and I was sent an email with his phone number in order to reach out to him. This has to be a violation of privacy and a huge security concern as I’m attending the show with a minor child. Their advice was to meet him out front of the venue and scan the barcode so he can get in. The second person said they could work on splitting the URL into three different URLs so we’d have three different tickets. That call was dropped. The third person picked up on there and attempted to split them, but was unable to do so because of the strict non transfer ticket rule. Oddly enough i am selling for below face value. Now they’re reaching out to the original seller from whom I purchased the three tickets to see if that person can deliver the tickets in a different way. But there’s no guarantee that that can happen or that they will respond. I am beyond frustrated because I’m on the hook for this ticket if I can’t deliver it. I’m wondering if anybody has any experience in dealing with this?

FanProtect Guarantee Means Nothing

I bought 3 premium front Orchestra tickets for musical performance on StubHub. A few days later, the seller couldn’t deliver them.

StubHub’s “FanProtect” solution was either:
* Accept significantly worse Loge/Balcony seats, or
* Take a refund.

The frustrating part is that comparable Orchestra seats are still available on StubHub for the same performance. StubHub simply won’t provide them because prices have increased substantially since I bought my original tickets.

So despite doing nothing wrong, I’m the one absorbing the consequences of the seller’s failure. My refund is no longer enough to buy comparable seats.

StubHub’s seller policies allow them to penalize sellers who fail to deliver, so I don’t understand why the buyer is the one left worse off.

Possible fake StubHub Tix for Breeders at the Zoo this weekend, what should I do?

Hi, so I bought tickets from StubHub for the Breeders a couple of weeks ago. Initially, I tried to do it through the zoo's website, where it sent you to etix. For some reason, my IP address is flagged by etix, and I can't download the page. It has to do with spambots or something. After an hour and a half of trying to figure this out, I googled "Breeders tickets at the zoo," and I see that they are linked on StubHub. I've bought baseball tickets from StubHub before. The tickets there are like $40 all together, including the fees. Because I had no idea what the ticket price was (because I hadn't seen the true ticketing page on etix and they didn't list it on the zoo's website), I clicked, thinking, "Well, that's a good deal." Also, I figured it's a zoo. How much do they charge?

Anyway, I bought the tickets and then see that I'm not gonna get the tickets sent to me until 3 p.m. the day of the show, which is ridiculous. Then I talked to my friend, who was like, "Oh, do you want my Breeders tickets?" I said, "I just bought some from some StubHub, but how much are yours?"

She said that her tickets were $65 apiece with the fees, so then I'm worried that these are fake tickets because why would you buy a pair of tickets for a total of about $120 and then sell them for less than $20 apiece?

I don't know what I should do: - Do I resell these tickets? And hope they aren't fake and do actually sell?- Do I eat the $40 and buy my friend's tickets? - Do I just cross my fingers and hope, at 3 p.m., that these tickets are real? What do you guys think?

StubHub Stole $100k from World Cup Finals Buyer with Speculative Tickets

StubHub stole $100k from a buyer who was sold speculative World Cup Finals tickets she never received. StubHub promised the refund in writing, reneged six days later, and has confiscated the buyer's $100k.

Scammed today on FB :(

I tried getting rid of my tickets through a Facebook group and just want others to be warned of doing it this way. The admins are scam artists and asked for fees to get rid of the tickets and kept asking for more. Some of the fees were disguised as security deposits...I have lost a lot money now and still need to get rid of my floor tickets for Saturday's show in Toronto :/

Please report the group and all the fake admins in the group please:

Stubhub canceled my sale and charged $600 after proof of transfer

I sold 2 tickets in January 2026, I immediately transferred it and have proof of the buyer accepted it. 1 month before the event Aug 15, i kept getting emails from stubhub to transfer the ticket. Apparently the buyer was having trouble accessing them. I submitted proof of the ticket accepted email, screenshot of my seatgeek dashboard showing the tickets have been transferred. I went back and forth with customer service, and they sent this email saying to ignore the emails:

------

Hi there! We’ve checked your sale and confirmed that it’s already fulfilled — the tickets have been successfully transferred to the buyer, and proof of transfer is visible on your account. No worries, we’ve escalated this to our internal team to mark the sale as fulfilled. No need to reply.

Also, please ignore any recent or upcoming emails that may ask you to fulfill the sale, as we’ve already partnered with our internal team to have this marked as completed.

------

Now the event has passed, they canceled the sale and charged me $600 for not delivering the tickets. This is their email:

-----

We understand your concern regarding payment. We can see that you previously provided proof of transfer and that on 12 August 2026 your case was escalated after it was confirmed that the tickets had been transferred and proof was visible on the account.

However, we can also see that the order was later reviewed by our Mobile Troubleshooting team and the buyer was issued a full refund. As a result, the sale is currently showing as cancelled and the buyer order is in a Fully Refunded status.

At this time, we are unable to confirm payment eligibility. Any decision regarding payment or seller charges will be determined through the internal review of the case history and the documentation submitted for this order.

------

At first they told me not to worry since my proof has been approved, but now after the event has passed they won't pay me and charge me.

Has anyone been in this situation? What should I do?

Don't buy StubHub parking

We purchased a parking pass, entered our vehicle plates etc. Got there and it was full. The attendant just said "yeah we oversell - get a refund". He sent us to a second station where the attendant was running away from people. It was also blocked off and full. Now you have to sit on Stub Hubs customer service while they take 15 minutes to "look into it" and say it's been escalated you'll get an e-mail.

The parking pass means absolutely nothing. You can be sure if I didn't show they'd be charging for it.
