Gemini Omni is missing something…

Oh yeah… personality.

Sora 2 nailed down character personalities wonderfully! It got the tones, facial expressions, attitudes, etc. down to a science where the characters felt real and alive.

I generated this video using Gemini Omni. There’s no background ambience, the characters sound so monotone, the script is just so blah, they’re pausing in awkward spots, etc. It’s just so vanilla.

Sora 2 was magical. I hope that one day there’s either an equivalent or some better out there.

Edit: Gemini Omni is only available to paid Google AI subscribers… but I wouldn’t exactly call it a subscription perk.

I really think OpenAI would benefit if they kept Sora around for Plus and Pro users. It’s convinced me to get a subscription to ChatGPT Plus, and I will honestly say, I’ve used it more for work than what I thought.

Edit: I’ll even accept 30 gens a day. That’s a pretty generous amount.
