TRX scratched, scuffed, chipped paint and ugly welds
I just received my order today and man I’m so disappointed. I just wrote a long email to TrakRacer so and spent 2ish hours unpacking and documenting all the issues I found. So I’m a bit burnt out by now but I’ll write a quick summary.
As soon as the delivery guys dropped off the packages I knew it wasn’t going to go over well. I could hear the tubes rattling around in the first (2) boxes. Sure enough, every tube is scuffed, scratched or dented. The quality of the bends are atrocious and the welded seam for one of the tubes is “bubbled” and it stands out like a sore thumb. The pc tray was poorly packaged, it’s scuffed and the attaching brackets have paint chipped off the corner of the brackets. The integrated monitor stand was poorly packaged and its scratched/scuffed on the front and back.
The pedal tray has paint chipping off of it. One seat bracket is scratched and one slider is dented and scratched. The black support brace for the upper tubes has paint chipping off one spot. My absolute favorite part… the “new” upper braces added to the cockpit to make it sturdy…. The welds look absolutely hideous. The bends for them also look terrible, but the welds take the cake. There’s also quite a bit more welding splatter than I expected. Idk. I’m an industrial mechanic and know that melting metal together doesnt always look the best but man… to me this is subpar quality for having spent a little over $1,400 bucks.
