What did I do wrong :(

I might have used my 16 day old starter when it wasn’t at peak yet, could that have done it? I also only waited an hour after doing my 4th stretch and fold. I’ll try again, it tasted so yummy but the caverns are disappointing

Recipe I followed:

360 grams spring water
100 grams peak starter
Mix up
510 grams bread flour
10 grams salt
Mix until it becomes a shaggy dough
Cover with ceran wrap, shower cap, or towel.
Let sit for one hour
Stretch fold in bowl
Cover again and let sit for another 30 min
Stretch fold again into ball, if super sticky wet hands with water and handle again. Let sit in bowl for another 30 min.
Do 2 more stretch and folds with 30min in between.
Stretch out into square like shape and fold both side inwards like a pamphlet. Morph into ball.
Put into proofing bowl
Proof for 1 hr
Preheat oven and Dutch oven to 450
Put sourdough and baking paper in Dutch oven with lid for 30 min.
Bake uncovered for another 20-25min (20 min) at 420 degrees
Cool, give 1-2hr before slicing.

New here

I got regular T about 2.5 years ago and I noticed soon after that I could hear my heartbeat in my left ear only, and my regular T is mainly in my right ear only. I noticed the wooshing of my heartbeat in my left ear while pooping or if I had a head rush. Nothing too bothersome. Fast forward to about 1 week ago I noticed I could hear the wooshing at night while sitting on my bed. And no this isn’t because it’s quiet at night, I work from home a lot and I sit on my bed often all day working and never hear it, but lately sometimes. When I lay down it goes away, and goes away when I press my neck. Sometimes in the AM I will hear it too once I sit up. I have a vein CT scan coming up because I saw an ENT about it last week. I’m hoping it’s not stenosis or a brain tumor but who knows.

I also suffer from terrible allergies. I’m allergic to most animals and we recently got a dog.

Im trying to figure out what this could be but it’s terrible because I already have to deal with regular T and hypercaucis. I also have visual snow syndrome.. which all started around the same time 2.5 years ago.

New to the group just picked up 2 horror books.

Hello all, I am a busy person who has lost a lot of time brain rotting on my phone. In hopes to change this I am getting back into reading. Never noticed how much I enjoy horror books, or rather dark fiction. I have always like Anne Rice and Steven King, and admittedly love Sci Fi/fantasy. Picked up You Weren’t Meant to Be Human, and The Creeper. What would you say are the top 10 horror books every bookworm should read? TYIA

Why is my left eardrum more red than my right ear?

Some context, I have tinnitus, hyperacusis, ETD, and mild VSS. I have bad chronic allergies and TMJ, I clench my teeth when I sleep. I recently was diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea and used the machine for 5 days and noticed my ears hurt and felt pressurized this was the end of May 2025. Saw an urgent care doc and was given a one time dose steroid. Then saw my PCP and she said I had fluid in my ears but they do not look infected. Haven’t used my CPAP since.

Bought myself an ear camera to see what’s going on in there, fast forward to last night and I took some images of my ears. I notice the left one look more red than my right. When I try to pop my ears with the plugged nose blow out method my left ear won’t pop easily. When I open my mouth and pretend to yawn both ears pop… I think. It at least feels like it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Am I overreacting?

I noticed I have this little bit of earwax on my eardrum. This might be a dumb question but is this common and will my body get ride of it? Will it melt when I take warm showers? Or is this going to be on here forever? TYIA

Do I belong here?

Hello all, I have tinnitus, hyperacusis, and possible eustachian Tube Disfunction, got my CPAP last Tuesday have been using it for 5 days went from 21 events per hour to 0.4 right away each night. However the moment I put on the mask my left ear hurts, decided to go to urgent care yesterday and doc said both my eardrums are buldging and full of fluid.

I also have terrible allergies that I am managing with shots for the past month or so.

The moment I put the CPAP on my eardrums feel like it is under pressure, and while sleeping with the mask I wake up with so much water in the mouth area.

Decided not to sleep with the CPAP last night as I don’t want to make my ears worse and I also would like to protect the level of tinnitus I have and not make that worse. I have the kind of mask the is full face but also has the nose pillows blowing air up my nose.

I really need advice as I’m so lost…

Do any of you have sleep apnea?

Anyone here have sleep apnea and ETD with allergies and use a CPAP without issues? I just got my CPAP and am curious if the pressure will make my T worse.

Just picked up my CPAP

I just picked up my resmed 11. Super execited to try it out and finally have restorative sleep. Any advice? I’m always tired, stressed, brain fogged, no more motivation to live a normal life. When I tested the machine getting blasted in the nose with air felt so lovely. The image is my most recent sleep score with my apple watch series 10. I will wear it tonight and see if it improves. I know in most cases my sleep won’t improve right away and I’m not expecting a miracle. I’m just tired of always being sleepy. My REI is 21.3 and AHI of 18.2.

Do you guys who have used it regularly really notice a difference?

Cannabis Use

Hello all, I’ve had tinnitus and hypercaucis for about 3 years now as well as VSS. I used to be a cannabis smoker before that and during onset I stopped because it made the ringing in my head louder. Took a 9 month break and then dabbled again with no effect thankfully. So I’ve been consuming for about 2 years with these conditions with no issues. Randomly on May 7th I noticed I am seeing tracers, now when I first got this condition I noticed tracers before but was so consumed by the ringing I didn’t pay attention.

For some reason my brain is paying attention to the tracers now. I suspect it’s because my tinnitus is so low I almost can’t hear it; or it’s so far in the background now. This has been the case in the past (December 2025) but I wasn’t focusing on tracers I was just enjoying my life.

I don’t know if these tracers are new or if I’m just focusing on them out of the blue… I love cannabis, it calms me and helps me with stress. I don’t know why this is happening now but I dunno.

I test it with my partner and she says she can see the tracers too, I can only see them in certain light with a dark background.. ugh.. I just want to enjoy my life man…

Does this sound like thc induced tracers? I don’t even know if I have HPPD but everyone in the VSS Reddit suggest to come here.

Does HPPD come and go? Or is it something like once you have it that’s what you’re going to see for the rest of your life? Like with the static I see and the ringing in my ears - I know that’s for life and constant. I need advice.
