USA - Information on this teapot found in shipwreck?

I work at a very small museum and so we don’t have curators for some of our collections atm, meaning we are lacking info on some of our piece.

I am currently looking into a few of our artifacts found in shipwrecks. I’m not sure what specific wreck this teapot was found in, but I was wondering if anyone has an idea on the origin, style, culture, etc.?

The last image I’ve included shows the makers mark (the black writing is a catalogue number, you can ignore that!)

Any info would be greatly appreciated!! :D

Carpenter bee

This carpenter bee was visiting our purple passionflower vine today! We live in FL — is this big boy a Southern Carpenter? I was unsure if Southern ones have the sort of purpley-blue iridescence on the wings like this, as I was also looking at a Violet Carpenter. They don’t seem to live here, though.
