Help with phone
Hi all.

For context, I am a 21 year old student from England. My phone broke at the start of the week. I have experience with technology and diagnosed the issue to being broken solder on the board. I managed to extract all my data by putting the phone in a freezer and using my university laptop to control the phone using ADB.
But now I am without a phone. The device is about 8 months out of warranty, and having contacted the company, they want £450 (estimate quote) to repair it which includes shipping, service fee (whatever that is), diagnostics and repair.
So yeah, I'm just looking for any assistance here. I can't afford £450 to repair it and currently, I can't really afford to put much money towards a phone in the next few months.
I have been given a temporary loaned phone, but it's in a terrible state with it's cracked screen, it's from 2018 and does not run much. I can make calls and send texts so am safe on that front, but I use my phone for a lot more than just calls such as my banking and paying for things.

I wasn't sure how else to easily receive money, cashapp isn't available in the UK
