How to dress more like a grown up?

Every spring/summer I notice that though my closet is full, I don't have any nice tops. All my tops are either t-shirts or sweaters.

I'm fine wearing them most days, but I would like an alternative for when I want to look more put together. But I have no idea what to wear or how to style nicer tops. Every nicer top I look just feels wrong for me. Either because it doesn't fit right or it just doesn't feel like me.

I have a fairly slender figure except for my breasts. They aren't huge, but they usually don't fit in an S and they make it seemingly impossible for me to wear button downs.

Any tips for how I go about finding a more adult style that fits my shape and personality?

How did you successfully change your bad habits?

I'm working with a therapist on some issues regarding procrastination and confidence.

I started seeing the therapist because I'm struggling in a new job, but these are issues I've had since my late teens. It's so difficult to change habits and ways of thinking that I've built up over 20 years. So difficult in fact, that I sometimes struggle to believe it can happen.

So I hoped to hear some inspirational stories from all you. How did you successfully change your old habits or unhelpful behaviours? How did you keep up the motivation when progress was slow? How much has the changes improved your life?
