I am babysitting my parents female tabby while they are away in Italy for two weeks. I am keeping her upstairs, with the door at the top of the stairs closed. She is a good kitty, I spend time with her when I can and she is doing fine up there. that is not the issue.

The issue is that my big male tabby knows she's there. He goes up the stairs and yowls at the door. Its really annoying and it probably doesn't make her feel safe either. Hes neutered but idk he still wants to mess with her.

Any ideas on deterring that behavior would be appreciated! Thanks guys

Ps they do not get along. opening the door isn't a viable option imo
