Hi All,

I am 5 months postpartum and basically since my baby was born (and once the epidural wore off) my back has become increasingly more and more painful. I’ve been regularly seeing a PT even since before birth for pelvic adhesions relating to Endometriosis. I get maybe 2-3 days of relief but the straight back to the pain! I gave up my fitness class because the pain is unbearable. My GP has been great and providing decent pain relief (Im not breastfeeding) I’m waiting on a referral to a pain clinic but Im wondering which of you have experienced this level of back pain PP. I’m easily at a 7/10 daily. Just to add I had an unplanned csection due to preeclampsia! My epidural was the most painful part of giving birth/having the section. I was having full on contractions for the 2 days prior to having my baby!

My GP has given me some steroid shots to try help but Im beginning to get beyond frustrated! i live abroad so dont really have anyone ho help me beside my husband and occasionally his parents. Not lifting her is obviously not an option and baby girl is rocking 8kg which is about 17lbs. So far I’ve had an MRI and orthopaedic consultation and besides some age related wear and tear theres no real explanation for the pain. I’m not really sure if anyone can give some advice or tips but currently I’m exhausted from waking up at night trapped on my stomach because my back has seized up!! Maybe even just some reassurance that when my baby starts to move independently my back might start to recover, I have been using the momcozy baby carrier as its ergonomic and I find it helps disperse the babies weight. This post is a bit all over the place but between me waking over back pain and my baby waking up nearly hourly last night this is the best I can do lol.

Thanks
