How to take pictures of your rug (hint: don't forget the back)

To help us identify your rug, we need good photos, including a closeup of a back corner. A view of the back will tell us whether it is handwoven or machine made. In addition the back helps to reveal the structure of the rug, which is crucial for proper identification.

If you can, take one good photo of the entire rug. We can't really help you if most of the rug is hidden under furniture!

For a photo of the back, fold one corner of your rug down so that you can see the back AND the fringe. Ensure that your phone is set to closeup or macro. In any case, the photo needs to be up close and clear enough to see the individual knots.
