[d] Why sticker upgrades make less sense for Valve to implement
The great digital hallways are once again filling up with smoke and fire. Men and children are shedding a tear while clutching onto their pearls. Meanwhile some witty foxes saw the threat coming (or lie they did) and already hoarded the worthless souvenirs in their dens long before the smoke was even visible for the mortal men. Does this shift in power once again cast a shadow on middle earth counterstrike? Time will tell... Meanwhile all we can do is cast an eye towards the last bastion in this digital landscape, stickers.
For weapons the big ticket items are the knives / reds. It made sense to allow trade-ups to facilitate an endless funnel to aquire those. It removes stock and each trade up is considered a worthwhile endavour. For stickers? Not so much. Holo's (+old foils) is where its at and that creates and awkward spot for gold stickers.
You can already directly buy stickers now, this creates less incentive for an upgrade system.
Even if implemented it would not directly be negative price wise.
