Don’t put your money or skins on bitskins [psa]

I sold 230$ worth of cases a while back and still haven’t got my money there saying it was a “glitch”

But still hasn’t been fixed a week later. If I were you go to skin port it csfloat to sell your skins.

[d] Checking Steam "My Marked History" is INSANE with old accounts, so much fun it really hurts

You really need to try it.

Selling stickers for cents which are worth hundreds now...
And all the cases x(

Items for 0,04cent which are 25€ now...

I started playing 2014 so I have hundred of pages.
Ended up over an hour going through it.

I couldnt start wondering how much I could have made if I just kept all.

And than I searched for good tools, and couldnt find any and than I ended up to create an entire WEBSITE doing that for me 😃

I can't and wont share it here -would be advertisement- (other than a admin checks it out and allows it first).

But if you want to hurt me, you can inform me that there are already other sites I missed and waisted my time 😃

But seriously, TRY checking your history, its fun and hurts 😞

[d]Are we underestimating how cooked supply really is?

I feel like a lot of people are looking at current prices and thinking “yeah this is already high,” but I don’t think people are fully factoring in how weird the supply side is now.
Like yeah, cases still exist, skins still exist, capsules still exist, but the amount of people actually willing to sell at these prices feels way lower than before. A lot of older supply is just sitting in dead inventories, long-term holders, banned accounts, trade locked storage, or people who just forgot they even own this stuff.
At the same time, CS2 made a lot of items feel more “real” visually. Dopplers, printstreams, fades, crafts, stickers, agents, all that stuff just hits different now compared to GO. Even if gameplay is still up and down, the market side feels like it has way more casual attention than before.
I’m not saying everything only goes up forever, obviously there will be dips and people panic selling, but I do think people are underestimating how much of the “supply” is not actually liquid supply.
To me, the real question is not “how many exist?”
It’s “how many are people actually willing to sell?”
And that number might be way lower than people think.
Curious what everyone thinks. Are prices already pricing this in, or is the market still sleeping on how tight supply actually is?

[discussion] Recovered old account (~$100 → ~$2k now, ~$4k peak) – how would you handle this inventory?

Hey,

I recently managed to recover an old Steam account that I hadn’t accessed in years. Back then I probably spent around ~$100 total on skins and cases (when cases were basically worthless).

After getting access again, I found out the inventory is now worth around ~$2k on third-party markets (~$3k on Steam). I also noticed it peaked close to ~$4k at some point.

Now it’s back around ~$2k.

📦 Inventory (rough breakdown)

  • ~50% in cases
    • ~13 Glove Cases
    • Some Spectrum / Gamma / other cases
  • ~50% in skins
    • M4A1-S Hyper Beast
    • AK-47 Orbit Mk01
    • AWP Fever Dream
    • some lower tier skins

I’m trying to approach this more rationally and think in terms of positioning rather than reacting to the previous peak.

From what I understand:

  • cases (especially Glove Case) seem more like a long-term play
  • but also more volatile in the short/mid term
  • and I might be a bit overexposed to them

Right now I’m considering:

  • selling part of the cases (especially the cheaper ones)
  • keeping some Glove Cases for long-term exposure
  • possibly reducing overall exposure a bit

Would you approach this differently?

Just looking for some perspective from people who have been in this market longer.

[d] Armoury Biding system

So you think we are going to get the bidding system between this armoury rotation and the one in September ? And if yes do you think it will be related to separate items like knives/gloves or maybe it will feature skins for active armoury collections but with some unique float/patterns if they have any. I mean for example bidding could feature a stat track version of collections skins . Yeah I know it would be kinda pointless but I do wonder if the valve is going to make some skins intentionally rare to boost the hype around the armoury in a long term

[question] Whats the catch with skin upgraders?

Since all gambling sites are designed to rob you, whats whte catch with skin upgrader? I dont see really any negatives other then being unlucky, you can choose whatver luck factor you want for however much gain you want, so i dont see how these sites arent just profit? Is there some kind of treshold where it forces you to lose? Because you could just do 90% winrate like 20 times and be up by 10% each in value each time.

Can we even withdraw these skins?

[d] A couple graphs regarding cases

Here are a couple graphs I made to look at trends in how new supply (drops and purchasable containers) fills opening demand.

https://imgur.com/a/Pn7rGt2

All data was acquired through the csgocasetracker api.

The main conclusions are:

  1. As more cases are removed from active duty/armory, a larger share of the demand is pushed into discontinued cases.

  2. The remaining demand for active duty cases is concentrated among fewer cases, requiring each individual case to fill a larger share of the total opening demand.

[Question] regarding float and paint seed

https://imgur.com/a/Fxuz1hm

Haven't been in the CS community since like 2014,2015 and just came back. Opened a few cases and terminals and got offered a M4A1-S | Liquidation FN with a float of 0.000338351 and 692 (as you can see in the screenshot).

So my goal is to afford a Bayonet | Doppler (im even ok with the "worst" one) and yeah, I shouldn't gamble and instead just save for it instead but well...Just trying to get lucky.

Anyway, since the offers buyout price is like 42€, is it even worth it? I checked both csfloat and the market but either im too dumb to actually find the information or I just don't understand what makes it (more) valuable.

I appreciate anyone guiding me a bit here.

[d] Are you still invested or did you cash out?

So basicly, I have a lot of money in the skin market. Mostly because I enjoy playing the game with nice skins mostly old Skins that are kinda expensive. But I also have some cases.

I got older and I am not able to play as much as I used to be and I think this will happen to most of the old player base of cs too. I don't see the player count to increase very much in the next years which will definitely effect the demand on the market

So i am intrested if you guys cashed out most of your money or if you are still invested and if so, why?

Why do Emerald and Ruby MW and FN knives hold similar price values? [question]

ive never been heavily invested into skins other than owning skins i like, but now I'm trying to learn more about them. Why does it appear that FN and MW hold the same value? i mainly noticed this on butterflys and i think M9

[question] Did we all just farm tons of stars for the next armory update ?

uhm....guys? who...who's gonna buy our skins if we're all selling them on week 1 ?

Also...the armory farms...they're not buying the sport&field and train collections...and they got like 10K stars per account...

Surely valve has been flagging those armory bots and will issue a gigantic ban wave right before the armory update, right?

[q] Will transferring Steam Mobile Authenticator to a new phone affect active CSFloat trades?

I’m planning to transfer my Steam Mobile Authenticator to a new phone using Steam’s transfer feature (Keeping same phone number). From what I understand, this causes a 2-day trade and market restriction.

My concern is that I currently have active/pending trades on CSFloat. Has anyone done this before while having ongoing trades?

If I were to transfer my authenticator from my old phone to my new phone (Keeping same phone number), will the active trades:
- continue normally,
- get held,
- get cancelled/recreated,
- or potentially cause issues with CSFloat (warnings/bans)?

I’m mainly worried about accidentally failing trades because of the temporary hold.
Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.

Do amberline patterns mean anything [q]

Hit a fac new amberline when opening my weekly drop terminal got a pattern 483 which is more or less entirely orange does that add value, are there orange gem collectors out there? Not that im going to sell it tbh might just use it as a play skin cus it looks nice but was wondering

[d] Golds are even lower than trade up update crash now...

Every single knife and glove are that way.

Especially the expensive gem knives are the worst.

People who reversed their trades during gold trade up crash now are at loss if they held till now.

No one seems to enter, it seems like prices could go even lower, thoughts?

[Q] Kara marble fade decent buy for $1k USD?

Looking for a nice knife with good liquidity for $1040 maximum. Was thinking setting a buy order for either M9 Doppler P4 FN or M9 Fade FN, I also saw that Kara MF FN were around that price and was wondering if it's a decent buy that will be easy to sell and hold its value?

I know the market is fucked rn so maybe it's a dumb question or impossible to answer.

Cheers guys.
