Question of the season: Are there more bike thieves out there or is it just too many new riders who think a steering lock is a secutiry device?
My regional bike theft focus channels are on fire. Normally theres 1-2 stolen bike reported, now there like a dozen each day...
And I keep wondering, if any wannabe antisocial prick decided to target bikes suddenly
or
is it the season where everyone gets their fresh CBT and becomes an easy target because they use a steering lock and possibly a cheap chain that can be opened with a hammer or a bolt cutter that cost like £10?
Is it more thieves of more victims?
Start to think twice if I should even dare to leave the house solo riding?
Because we all know if I defend myself, suddenly even the neighbourhood county police force turns up within a minute but if I get robbed all I get is a crime reference number 3-4 days later that I can send my insurance to get a fractional payout and an exponentially higher quote for renewal...
