Hi, everyone

I applied from Mexico and this week I received a rejection email from SNU

Tbh I devastated because only this year a got rejected twice, from both, embassy and university track.

I applied for a visual communication design major, my GPA is 91.6/100, TOEFL 83pt, a bachelor's thesis about kpop as a case of study and how to decolonize audiovisual studies in my own field including a whole semester program for senior year students.... I spend a whole year optimizing my portfolio. And around 5 months trying to write perfect essays. In them I talk about my passion for my field, how committed I am with my studies and a detailed study plan year by year including preparation before arriving to Korea. Of course I mention 2 professors on design faculty which I would love to take classes and work with.

My country is kinda skeptical about design and art fields so I didn't surprised that much when I got rejected by the embassy but I don't get why I would be rejected by SNU, I know it's pretty difficult apply to a Sky university, but I thought I'd have an opportunity.

I think maybe my thesis theme is kinda difficult, cause' they don't want people who think this scholarship is an easy ticket to get on vacation through Korea and meet idols. But was pretty sure my essays demonstrated that's not the case.

Sorry if this turn out to be so long. I just wanna clear my mind and find some answers.
