Question for VRChat DJ's
I have a question for all those that do DJ sets in VRChat. Do you get frustrated when you put so much effort into your sets and there is no reaction to them?
You play your music and do mixes live and in real time, doing all that work, and the club you are in is just totally dead and void of any kind of energy. No reactions to your songs or choice of music, no one dancing at all, no one vibing or moving. Just a bunch of people either;
a. standing motionless like a statue, or
b. in groups talking and being super loud so your music can be barely heard unless you turn voices down.
There is also c. at times, where people will play their OWN music at the club and not care about yours.
Oh course this does not happen all the time. Sometimes people are dancing or vibing, and sometimes people will shower the DJ with emotes when they are loving the choices of music. But WAY too often I will go to a club or dance and it's just......well, lifeless, like no one really cares what is playing. You could probably turn the music off and some would not care, just go about their business gabbing in their little clique.
It's probably why I get the friend requests from DJ's when they see me dancing. They are probably hoping I will be curious to show up at their sets just to see someone dancing and reacting to their efforts. LOL
Speaking of that, I DO usually pay attention to what you play in your sets, and I remember if you really wow me with your music choices. So much so, I will remember your name and watch for it showing up in Timeline. If I see it, I will make a attempt to make it to your set if I am able to.
So you if you see Dancerella showing up and dancing at your set time and time again, you're on my list. 😉
It IS a pain though when 2 people on my favorite DJ's list play their sets at the same time. LOL I sometimes will split their sets in half to be there for both of them.
